Since "Appreciation Threads" are frowned upon, I decide to just call it a discussion. Honestly, I don't know what it is, but it's working and it's awesome. All Johnny L. does is state the obvious and have a eat #&$@ grin and the crowd absolutely loathes him. I even got a chuckle tonight when he distracted the referee by announcing the Vickie was banned from ringside.

That finish with him trying to "give the fans what they want" and distracting the ref from the pinfall as a result was unique. Only Johny Ace would do such a thing. I love how he tries to disguise his manipulation by obfuscating stupidity.

Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis is awesome. If only because in WWE 12 he finally gave me a use for that cellphone entrance.

As well as giving me a justifiable excuse to restart matches to outcomes I don't like by writing it off as Laurinaitis not approving with the outcome.

The WWE is doing a good job with him, which is to bore the audience. Howeverm it is hard to get excited in anything he is involved when he plays that role.

He has to be boring to get him good heel heat, but he can't be TOO boring in that he takes the fans right out of his feuds.

I can't boo him, I just can't. He's too funny. He's completely oblivious to how uncool he is. He's so proud of himself whenever he comes up with his latest hackneyed, idiotic idea that he's certain is shocking and exciting.
At this stage, I'm rooting for him over CM Punk in their feud.

This is so true! When he said Punk had the night off and then yelled "I got you!" with that grin like he just blew Punk's mind, I couldn't help but crack up.

Say what you will about it, but he really brings a new dynamic to the played out heel authority figure vs. rebel babyface angle.

I laughed so hard when he was walking down to the ring and introduced himself "the vice president...of Raw..." and just gave up. He's the right kind of heel for me, I'm entertained by him and I really want to see CM Punk kick his ass, just because of the hilarity that it would bring.
It's all fun and games right now, but I definitely see him forming a "Corporation" of sorts to take down Punk eventually.

When he came out to Punk's music, I legitimately started crying laughing.
When he prevented Punk winning "in the interests of fairness", it was some of the most genius heeling Ive ever seen. Johnny Ace is the heel of tomorrow, today.

John Larauntis is a great heel. Imagine if that match with Punk would have happened. Didn't though sadly.
"You don't want none of this."

He is awesome. I sighed when he first started showing up on tv, expecting him to be Mike Adamle types of awful but he's quickly become one of my favourite characters on the show. I cracked up a few weeks ago when he said something like "I am Mr Excitement" in his dull, deadpan voice

After hearing some of his quotes, Ace's character has a sort of Michael Scott vibe to it. He's the type of heel that doesn't try to show how evil he is, but rather how truly out of touch he is with what the people want. He thinks that pretty much everything that he does is a cutting-edge and unique way to make things better, when all it really does is make things worse for those who work for him.
"When you heard the music, you expected one thing, and you got another. that is being Mr. Excitement, that is a microcosm of the wild unpredictability on Raw since I've been in charge."
"I've taken several management classes, and I've learned, that I like to empower my talent."
"My gift is tonight, CM Punk, you are off...ha, I got you! Who says I can't be unpredictable?"

John Laurenitis is one of the best heel characters in the past few years. I think the thing I really like about it is how subtle he is about his heelish acts. Distracting the ref while ejecting Vickie Guerrero "in the interest of fairness" was genius.

"I've taken several management classes, and I've learned, that I like to empower my talent." THIS! If you've ever worked for any amount of time in the corporate world this is funny as hell. Who says they can't do adult humour
