Why is this Kofi Kingston not in the WWE? Well, for one he doesn't have the accent anymore, and then there's the fact that he's not being billed as being from Jamaica anymore... Still a funny foreign type. Every true American knows you can't trust one of them. Actually, has there ever been a person from outside the US who's come into the WWE/WWF and never turned or been used as a heel?

So far, Kofi Kingston and Yoshi Tatsu.

They've all done pretty damn good; especially Punk and Bryan, considering the whole "they'll bury them because they're indy" hysteria in the beginning.
Too bad we can't say the same about Brian Major and Nigel McGuinness...

There's also real Sin Cara, although Hunicara did do evil stuff.

Where was Kofi at during that time period? Im a huge Bourne/Sydal mark since his time in the in indy's so Im very happy right now that he is getting such a long run with his first championship in the 'e. I cant say I dislike any champions right now, they are all great. Shows how much of a talented roster they have. it's also that whole "youth movement" thing that us wrestling fans grumble about there being a lack of. The movement is in full swing, and we're seeing the youth mature in front of our eyes.

What still amazing to me is how Dolph is the only member of the spirit Squad that did anything after that. Which it is shocking being that the group was made of at the time most of the top OVW talent. Outside of Punk and Anderson. These guys where the top of it. Johnny Jeter was the champion at one time. He as dispeared as well as Kenny Dystra. Who both where young and had potential.

The Highlanders came and went, Gunner Scott came and went, Matt Cappotelli had severe medical issues that forced him to retire. Dean Visk never got a chance. Shame, because I loved his "SCREAM EVERYTHING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGS!!!!!!!" gimmick. And Anderson when he was going back and forth between WWE and OVW was amazing. "RETREAT! RETREAT! MISTERRRRRRRR KENNEDYYYYYYYYY!!!" (as his getaway car drives away from a beaten down Matt Cappotelli) *then his car drives back up* "KENNEDYYYYYYYY!!!!" *and drives away again*

Wasn't Dolph Ziggler Chavo's caddy around that time? He was a member of The Spirit Squad at the time. Yeah, the caddy thing was about 6 months to a year before.

They tried to push him into a singles career and probably didn't work out in the end. I remember the last time Johnny Jeter was seen was in some battle royal that took place at the beginning of Raw back in 2006. Mitch and Mikey, who knows what happened to them?

Except for Bobby Lashley, that was also a really talented, anti-hoss list of champions.

Mitch and Mikey, who knows what happened to them? Mitch is married to Torrie Wilson and was in training for MMA last I heard and Mikey is working for OVW and does the occasional ROH shot.

Not to start anything here, but at the time we had... -A man who was caught smoking pot and driving shirtless, costing him the two titles he was holding at the time -A man who was, more or less, riding the coat tails of his dead buddy -...Bobby Lashley...yeah, I'm leaving it there, I'd take two posts to get my point across -A man who I've deemed the "just give him a title since we have nobody else to put it on for seven months" guy at the time (Kofi feels like he might be the new guy) -A woman who was more or less the center of the division, but will forever be recognized for derailing any thread daring to mention her name here into thirty pages discussing her weight -And a tag team that could have actually been something, especially since they spent most of 2006 as tag champions, but for one reason or another were kinda stupid and missed the boat. Yep, we've come a long way alright.
