Who do you want to see him defend against? I'm dying to see Bryan vs. Regal, Student vs. Mentor. Give them 15-20 minutes on Smackdown, and let them tear it up please!

Bryan vs Barrett for the title would be fun. I've enjoyed their past matches alot so having the belt on the line would be pretty cool.
Also, agree with Bryan vs Regal.
Edit: I'll also add Bryan vs Ziggler, Bryan vs Punk (Champion vs Champion match!) Bryan vs Orton and Bryan vs Christian.

Ted DiBiase.
STOP LAUGHING, I'M SERIOUS! The two are seriously amazing in-ring together, and any excuse to have them face each other is a good one.

I shall be happy with
Bryan vs Ziggler Bryan vs Orton Bryan vs Christian Bryan vs Sheamus Bryan vs Jericho Bryan vs Regal Bryan vs Barrett
In other words its hard for them to mess it up as long as DB is in the SD main event.

It's too bad the lower card superstars mean nothing to the casual fan, because I'd love to see a Daniel Bryan vs. Tyson Kidd match.

I waqnt to see a Barrett vs Bryan feud since it has major potential, especially since Barrett is on his quest to become champion right now and now and the first person to be eliminated from NXT beat him to it.

When Mark Henry is healthy again, it would be nice if they gave Bryan a clean win over him. I think they can have a great Big Man/Little Man match up, and it would make up for the cheap MITB victory.

I know it'll probably never happen, or at least not in the next year, but Daniel Bryan vs Seth Rollins would have been great. Whenever Bryan Danielson and Tyler Black stepped into a ring, you knew something good was going to happen.
Also, gotta agree on Bryan/Orton. Considering Daniel Bryan is one of the best pure wrestlers in the company, and Orton is one of the best wrestling psychologists in the company, if anyone could put together a five-star, match of the year candidate, it would be them.

Pretty much these matchups:
*Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett *Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler (submission match) *Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus *Daniel Bryan vs. Christian *Daniel Bryan vs. William Regal (what should be Regal's sendoff match)

Basically, I don't think it really matters who he wrestles, because he's going to make them all look good. If anyone should be a "fighting champion" it should be him.
However, I think there is probably going to be some parity booking for Bryan. For example, Bryan had his butt kicked several times by Del Rio (seriously, it must be five or six times by now) so on RAW, Bryan tapped him out. Likewise, and though I do like Sheamus, I would think that Bryan would have to beat him the next time they face since Sheamus basically owned him all last spring and summer. On the other hand, Ziggler had the one week around MITB 2010 where he lost to Bryan pretty clean three times in a row, so I could definitely see Ziggler getting a couple wins on Bryan.
So yes, though there are certain uppercard names that Bryan should tangle with again, I'm pretty excited to see him face anybody new. Plus, I think it would be cool if Bryan defended on Superstars or NXT. It would be different and would fit his character as someone who is not "typical." This could also be his downfall, as he maybe strecthes himself so thin by giving guys like Heath Slater or Justin Gabriel chances at the title, that his body is too fatigued to handle a Big Show, or a crafty grappler like Rhodes.

A Champion vs. Champion match with Bryan and Punk would be a great headline to a lesser PPV. Just imagine, now matter how crappy the rest of the card is, once the bell rings and they shake hands in the middle of the ring, you know you're in for a treat.

Bryan gives Christian his ONE.MORE.MATCH because he's competitive. The two tear it up on Smackdown in a 20+ minute match to close Smackdown with Bryan winning by the skim of his teeth. Christian stuggles to his feet after Bryan has left the ring to thunderous applause and nods in respect, thus turning face because I hate whiny heel Christian.

I'd like to see him in random title defense, like Bret Hart vs 1-2-3 Kid.
Bryan vs Evan Bourne Bryan vs Tyson Kidd Even Bryan vs Brodus Clay
show the range Bryan has and gives the lower card guys a little boost. You have to be careful it doesnt undermine Bryan but with main event talent running in, scouting Bryans submission skills or on commentary it could work.

I think Daniel Bryan should literally defend his championship against everyone. I'm not making a joke I think he should have those matches against Regal, Ted, Kidd, and all of those guys who wouldn't get one normally. Just have it on Smackdown and not on PPV. This will elevate the title by making it seem like EVERYONE wants it, and will elevate Bryan by making him look like a champion who will take on all comers. Save the big matche against Wade, Henry/Show, or Orton for PPVs.

D-Bry vs. Michael Cole. I want a 15 second squash in which D-Bry breaks every bone in Cole's body.

It would give everyone on the roster a chance to showcase their skills and make them more well known to casual fans so they care more about the midcarders. It would also get Bryan over as a fighting champ.

Save the big matche against Wade, Henry/Show, or Orton for PPVs. In a similar vein, this reminds me of his ROH Championship reign, where he put a load of contracts out into the wrestling world, with the idea that guys from other promotions all over the world would come to ROH and chalenge "The Best Wrestler in the World". I say do this in WWE. Daniel Bryan could issue open challenges to the entire WWE locker room, including people who usually never get title opportunities. With this comes potential for great TV matches with the Regals and DiBiases, then you can put "bigger" matches on PPV. I like the idea of Wade Barrett wanting a shot, bitter that he won NXT and hasn't been champion, yet a guy who got eliminated first is now the World Champion. Whatever they do, they need to give D-Bry plenty of time on PPVs. A 15-20 minute match on PPV every month with D-Bry, against the right opponents, can't miss.
