if Maxine, Queen of the Resthold, is involved. There's an Orton joke somewhere in there. Seriously though, restholds work if you're a heel, they give the crowd a reason to chant for the babyface and it's not like the only resthold she does is a chinlock. I don't get why they would split them up. They have genuine chemistry together and seem good long-term investments. Give them a year --> 18 months to develop, and then by the time Kaitlyn turns heel the fans may actually care! Yes but also, if you give them some mic time or a backstage segment, it would help them get over their personalities with the audience.

It's that restholds make up the vast majority of her offense, and 3-4 restholds in a 4-minute match kinda sticks out. As for giving them segments, that could work if the segments are actually good. If Kaitlyn and AJ are horrible actresses like most of the Divas are, then it won't mean anything. If just being given the chance to talk was all that mattered, Michelle McCool would have been the biggest Diva ever.

Maxine 2 months ago attempted to pin AJ after AJ hit her with a clothesline.
Let me say that again, Maxine no-sold a move by AJ and proceeded to attempt to PIN the person that did the move to her.
Keep her out of the ring...for ever. Also, push AJ already dammit.

Exactly when did restholds in a wrestling match become a bad thing? I seriously don't get this. Yeah, strikes or flying around makes for a more exciting match to some, but to many others like myself, wear down and restholds do more for a match than slugs that half connect or running around aimlessly; aka, most of the Divas matches on the main shows.

I think that she's using them right now to hide her shortcomings in the ring but at the rate she seems to be learning, she could shed those soon. As for giving them segments, that could work if the segments are actually good. If Kaitlyn and AJ are horrible actresses like most of the Divas are, then it won't mean anything. If just being given the chance to talk was all that mattered, Michelle McCool would have been the biggest Diva ever. They've had some promos on NXT and they played their characters very well (A Goofy, awkward and slightly nerdy gimmick) and AJ can work a better-than-you princess gimmick very well (on the mic and in the ring). Also, AJ showed some great emotions on the un-aired heel turn (verge of tears, etc.)

No one said restholds were always bad. It's just that the last thing a WWE Diva needs right now is to make her matches slower and less exciting. When you have little-to-no mic time and 3 minutes to wrestle, it's probably best to not spend 30-60 seconds (or maybe even longer) on a chinlock, let alone a chinlock, headlock, and 1 or 2 other restholds.

They worked a lot more when she had matches with AJ because it looked like she was bending her in half with every move. Also, I'd rather see restholds than botched moves.

I'm sorry what were you saying? Oh yea, when Orton turns heel, I want an alliance between Maxine and Orton, they could be called the lockers.

I would rather they just not get that extra time if that's how they're going to use it, but that's just me. Regarding botches, I'm always surprised how often the extremely short matches seem to screw up the Divas more than usual, like what happened with Beth and Alicia's 45-second match on Monday. It seems logical that the shorter the match is, the easier it would be to complete without incident, but it actually seems to make their botching worse.

Look at that technique, locking the hands and all. Goddess of Restholds. They worked a lot more when she had matches with AJ because it looked like she was bending her in half with every move. Also, the concept of a flip leg drop is super high risk and considering that, I guess, they have to rush through matches, the chances of not botching seem pretty low.

Phrophetless. She (Kaitlyn) holds the mystery of my arrival...of my rebirth. For when I beckon her, I will return to reclaim what is mine, and things shall never be the same again. On the second day of 2012, it will be the end of the world as you know it." Y2-A-J (please ignore Primo)

I love AJ, but this isn't a very flattering picture of her, even with Primo and his "get in my windowless van" mustache. Maybe it's just me, but she looks odd here. It's looks like they plastered her face on someone else's body.
