They should bring him back. And have his gimmick be no one remembers him. He does a promo. Everyone forgets. He has a squash match. No one remembers. Fans chant "Who are you?" Ryan "The Man with no face" Braddock

Those were horrible times for new talent weren't they?
They were just tossing guys out there at random with no build up, no character, no promos and not even any attempts at pushing them. Oddly enough, the one that they did somewhat try to push (Ricky Ortiz) was utterly useless.

I wouldn't say it was all bad, we got Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, and a few others during this time. It was just a matter of the talent finding their niche and standing out. Ortiz, Braddock, and Spears were just not able to do so.

I think that if Ricky Ortiz would have kept his OVW name (Atlas DaBone) and gimmick, then he might have gotten over. It's the big hair. Spears and Cabana just didn't get a shot.

I can only assume the same for Mitch and Mikey, since they're the only three that never left that "Send to OVW" package. That damn DX! *shakes fist* it was a long journey and they resorted to canibalism, they vowed to never talk about it again... but they were recorded by an escaped t.n.a. cameraman who was wandering around secretly recording anyone he could find, dont worry though he's been recaptured and put back where he belongs hiding behind doors that have been left open just enough to capture an entire conversation.

Swagger I'd actually forgotten was on ECW at all But yeah, if it gave us Swagger, Bourne and possibly Kingston then perhaps it wasn't as bad an idea as I remembered.

Ricky Ortiz was a guy I was surprised they gave up on. It seemed like as a face he wasn't doing too bad for a guy with no build or feuds with the crowd. Not saying he was outpopping the roster but he seemed to be able to get crowds into his matches with his mannerisms, had some natural charisma.
Then they turned him heel without him really being much of a heel, which didn't do anything but kill what little interest he was generating. Nothing special in the ring but I don't recall him stinking up the place or anything, especially for a new guy.
Seemed to me like someone that would have gotten better.
Sure the "Big O" finisher was ridiculous but in my experience the crowd LIKES goofy stuff like that.

He got thrown out of a SD! battle royal once by Big Show.
That's the only thing I know he did.
