WWE did what most here regularly begged them to do. So yes, it was a very good year.

I thought it was overall pretty good. There was a lapse around the time of Lawler vs Cole that was pretty bad and forgettable (Wasn't that the time when Sheamus was jobbing left, right and centre and The Corre were been badly booked too?) but other than that it's been a fun year. Especially the latter part of the year which has been awesome.
We've got some awesome matches, some fun feuds and overall, the WWE have been pushing guys I'm a fan of, especially towards the end of the year with the Barrett Barrage, Ryder's push, Sheamus' face push, the Hall of Pain etc. So yep, I've enjoyed it.

There were some flashes of brilliance, particularly from R-Truth and Mark Henry, but for the most part it was rather dull, uninspired pandering to a niche of fandom that I'm not a part of. Feels like WWE is coasting because they know they've got Rock to sell the big shows, really.
I prefered 1995, and with the buyrates of late, I don't think I'm the only one.

The Good:
The Rock comes back John Cena continues to evolve into one of the best storytellers and ring psychologists in wrestling today (seriously) Mark Henry completely revives his career with a monster heel push The rise of Punk to true main eventer status Divas of Doom Kharma Christian finally winning a major world title Cody Rhodes' Batman villain shtick and bringing back the old Intercontinental Championship The rise of Daniel Bryan, Zack Ryder, and Dolph Ziggler R-Truth being a heel The general youth movement/changing of the guard thing going on.
The bad:
Horrendous commentary Michael Cole in general Kharma's brief tenure due to pregnancy Edge's needing to retire from wrestling due to health issues Layla getting seriously injured Summer of Punk leading to The Triple H Show John Morrison becoming a jobber to the stars because of his taste in women
There were some low moments, but overall I really enjoyed this year of WWE programming. Mainly because of the talent that was elevated. I love this youth movement. I love seeing new stars being created.

Yeah, it was pretty damn good. I know this may not seem relevant or anything, but I just realized EVERY CHAMPION ON THE ROSTER also qualifies as a Cruiserweight! Not a bad thing, just something I picked up on.

IMO it was one of the best years in a while.
Sure there were swome clunkers and srew ups. But I feel the good definitely outweighs the bad.

More things that interested me happened this year than the past five years, and everything I expected to suck didn't suck as much as I expected it would. Plus Mark Henry world champion and Money In The Bank, generally.

Only the Cena/Punk feud itself is enough for me to say that it's been a great year for WWE.And also,we got guys like Miz,Punk,Bryan,Christian,Henry as champions so yeah, was definitely a great year.

Was a pretty fun year. This was pretty much the "Year of the newcomers". The rise of CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Zack Ryder, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, and numerous others being placed as the future of the company. Summer of Punk was great while it lasted, Smackdown was fun, unexpected gold in R-Truth and Mark Henry
Outside of Michael Troll/fast-paced booking/Twittertainment, 2011 went better than expected. I would say 2011 was one of the best years they've had in a while
