For the first time in a long time I can say watching raw was fun as a whole. From the start of the show with the new champs, to the actually matches throughout the show, to the end the whole show was just a fun time.
For some reason seeing the face team come out through the crowd brought a smile to my face. I wonder if little touches like that are punks doing?
I'm not sure why but punk Ryder and db made me think of the radicalz.

To me it felt like a pre Attitude Era kind of Raw. A lot of enhancement matches with a focus on babyfaces. It had a good pace to it, and it had a good main event.

The opening segment was great, I was grinning ear-to-ear throughout.

A fun wrestlecentric show, even if the bulk of it was jobber squashes.

The opening segment was great, I was grinning ear-to-ear throughout. Same. In a way it kind of reminded me of the Miz-Mas Carol opening to last year's post-TLC RAW.

It was fine. I liked it but I couldn't get the nagging feeling out of my head that WWE is just pandering and booking on the fly instead of changing the real problems that are plaguing that company.
It's a step in the right direction but I don't have too much faith in WWE to keep walking in that direction.

However, I think the product is going to try to cater fans as best they can while doing things that still gets them talking. However, RAW was a fun show with that opening, walking through the crowd, the backstage segments, and the "Prophetless" video.

Yeah I mean I like that Daniel Bryan got the World Title but I hate that he had to cash in the briefcase that way. Moving forward I hope the Big Show turns heel and just destroys him in a match here in the next few weeks, wins it back and makes Daniel look like a huge underdog. Then you can have Daniel Bryan win the Royal Rumble(hell they could even have him start as the first guy the same way HBK and Benoit Holly did) and go on to face Big Show as the ultimate underdog. It would be the biggest David and Goliath wrestling angle ever.

Now he loses it with a Big Show that hasn't undergone a match before-hand. With no way of getting to Wrestlemania without the Money in the Bank briefcase, Daniel must win the Royal Rumble which would be another huge ovation/pop for the guy. Then, he recaptures the glory at Wrestlemania. I don't know what will happen, but it does look to be promising with your logic damien.

I may be the only person that disliked the opening segment. Just kind of annoyed me in a way I can't describe.

Yep, anytime they do something different like this, it really sets a fresh tone for the rest of the show. (I agree with the Mizmas comment... I really liked that back then, too.) It's a little more risky, since it's easier to get crowds into routines, but it's a lot more entertaining.

So why are we all clamoring for Daniel Bryan to have this big underdog hero victory when he took the title from someone that helped him out in the past in a totally dick and underhanded way?

Because it's Daniel Bryan. He could punch a baby while wearing a Nazi uniform and the IWC would still love him for it.

It was a fun Raw, but IMO Raw is usually enjoyable lately so it wasn't a huge departure from the norm.

I loved RAW this week. It was one of the best RAW's they've had this year. Nothing huge happened, and that was fine. There was a lot of wrestling, very little bullshit, and that's really all I ask for.

Hated that Raw. Squash matches for the most part and no real feuds being built heading into the Royal Rumble.

Hated that Raw. Squash matches for the most part and no real feuds being built heading into the Royal Rumble. It's Christmas week, the E usually goes easy on starting angles this week as it's more of a working week off for the wrestlers. I expect more of the same next week before they blow their load on 1/2/12.
