Can't wait for Lucha Nash to show his true self and hit a shooting star press off the top of the ladder. The guys from Hogan Vs. Flair need to commentate this match. Caveman might have a seizure from all of the botches.

Why does everyone still harp on Nash tearing his quad 9 years ago? He wrestled for years after that happened. It's not like he injures himself every time he steps in the ring. If Nash is made of glass, what was Edge made out of? Paper glass?
Fun is fun, but that's maybe the deadest horse that gets beat around here.

Hell, I'm one of the biggest Nash marks around and this isn't something even I want to see. Does set up a nice run in for HBK though right ? Let's roll Hall & Waltman out of the crowds as well. One big happy Kliq reunion before they all ride off into the sunset ? Seriously though.. dude is 7' tall. He has no need to get above the 3rd wrung of the ladder. He should be safe *crosses fingers*

I remember everyone saying the same thing when jeff hardy took on biker taker on raw in the ladder match they had. The ladder was hardly used and taker lookd liked a lumbering fool everytime he got near the ladder. But that match was considered one of the best of that year. Gotta give it a chance, right?
Also, the Nash joke is getting old. We can't have one topic even mention his name without throwing in some quad jokes. God forbid a 7 foot 40 something (at the time) year old man has an injury.
If Zack Ryder or daniel bryan or some other internet darling injured thereselves in a similar fashion nobody would be joking about it, not even 8 years after the fact.

It was the crowd reaction that made that match great, not the in-ring action. I really don't see this match getting the same reaction.

I can actually see the logic in booking a ladder match that won't have crazy high-flying spots on this card. Since TLC matches and ladder matches are basically identical, the last couple TLC PPVs have struggled with finding ways to make the night's TLC match stand out and feel special.
Let the night's first ladder match be a relatively grounded affair with both guys trying to get to the weapon, and let the main event be the one with Punk and ADR diving around and tossing each other through tables.

I'm in the camp of those intrigued by the car wreck that is Kevin Nash vs. Triple H in a ladder match in 2011. This would be a sketchy concept in their prime and I'm a huge fan of both, I have no idea what to expect, maybe it'll be surprisingly good.
Terrible booking involved here and everyone involved should be embarrassed, like, what is Triple H doing? How hands on is he here? He's working with his friend with an assumed tons of creative control, how does this match get passed the paper it was written on? I really hope WWE make a new years resolution to abolish these shitty gimmick PPVs where no feuds can resolve organically because we're slapping stips on matches that don't warrant them simply to suit the name of the event.

They must know that this sounds bad,
So they must really know how to not make it bad?

They couldn't make a HIAC work back when both of them were functioning competitors. Eight years and heap of ring rust won't make it any more enjoyable. I didn't think there HIAC was that bad. Theres been way worst then that match. It was at less watchable for me.

The casual fans love HHH, and Nash is starting to gather some heat now that he's doing more than just cut a promo then leave. This match will certainly get big reactions from the audience.

It will gain big reactions. I think I misspoke (or mistyped I guess would be more appropriate). I'm not saying that the crowd will be dead during the match. I'm saying that the main reason why Hardy V. Taker worked was because it had a big underdog story going into it. It wasn't the in-ring action that made the match great but it was the crowd reaction and the story. That ladder match can be seen as a bit of "breakout" moment for Hardy. This match, however, is a grudge match between two older and well established stars. No one is going to "breakout" so there is no emotional story going into the match that overrides the match quality. This match will definitely get big reactions. I am just saying that may not be enough to save it.

If this isn't a gimmicked sledge, this sounds potentially really dangerous.

So much potential for a quad tearing fest....If Vince makes a surprise run in, we could see 5 or 6 quads torn in one night, that would be a record.

Wait, I just realized... The rules of the match is that the person who grabs the sledgehammer can use it legally in the match. So, (ignoring the stupid part of a ladder match already being no DQ, so what's stopping either of them from simply pulling out a weapon from under the ring?) does this mean that it's a ladder match that can only end with a pin or submission?
I mean, it's not like the person who grabs the sledgehammer wins the match at that moment, and then gets one free shot at the loser, right?
