I really hope D'Lo Brown's music hits to open Raw on 1/2/12. I have to admit, I'd mark out. ;D

I really, really, REALLY hope that it isn't Taker.
They've done the whole "Creepy vignette" thing for his returns so much that it's getting way too predictable.

I kind of want it to be Skip Sheffield to be honest, but also if it turns out NOT to be Jericho or Undertaker, people in the arena (at least those who have been paying attention) will be pissed because it wasn't what they were expecting.

for those who think they saw a girl... is it possibly a boy? Seems like one dressed in black at the desk and the one in the far back is wearing RED...... Taker/Kane?

To anyone who's holding on to hope that this is Chris Jericho, Dave Meltzer shot that down really well in the last Observer, and there is literally no one on earth more knowledgeable/reliable about pro wrestling than Dave Meltzer.

EDIT: Cases in point: if Meltzer was THAT knowledgeable/reliable, New Japan would've folded in 2003, All Japan in 2000 and/or 2002 and NOAH right after Misawa's dead. What happens? All 3 companies are alive (yeah, NOAH is stale as hell and the attendences are terrible, but they're still there without cutting shows or anything).

I have all the newsletters from that period and Dave never prophesied the death of Japanese wrestling, but rather a nosedive in popularity that could inevitably end in one or more companies eating dirt. And it's very difficult to say he was wrong looking at the shape the entire Japanese professional wrestling scene is in popularity wise. I wouldn't be surprised if NOAH didn't make it through 2012.

Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom...
I reckon Paul Bearer will be involved somehow.

I remember clearly that he wrote that New Japan would fold various times since 2003, even after the Yuke's buyout and Inoki's exodus of the company, All Japan from the split all the way until a few months after Muto arrived and took over (because Muto = sponsorship deals) and NOAH... well, yeah, everybody's been saying it's its doom now, but Dave's been calling it since Misawa's death and the absolute lack of national TV exposure. But anyway, the point is: Dave Meltzer is as reliable as any other NEWZ guy with sources. Taking what he says as fact is too big a risk, as he's often as right as he's wrong.

I cannot see them bringing back Jericho with such a dark vibe.
I think its all but certain to be Taker/Kane.

Please be Batista. That is all. Are you sure you'd want him back in his current state? I mean, last I saw, the guy was literally HALF the size he used to be, and looked twice as old. Unless he's been drinking some Mason Ryan Juice, he'd look awfully small coming out there now.

There's no way he's back to his original weight.
