Don't get me wrong, I can see not finding her attractive but, calling her ugly is just...not right, IMO. Agreed. She's a normal looking woman in a company that typically hires Super Models.

Yup a pure ug-o. Don't get me wrong, I can see not finding her attractive but, calling her ugly is just...not right, IMO. Is it me or is something off with that picture... like the head was photoshopped or something...

"Things we talk about on a message board when we're bored" isn't the criteria I'd use to judge the most important quality of a human being, I guess. As for genetic programming, I think it's VERY important in our evolutionary instincts for a man to be attractive. He achieves that attractiveness in a number of ways... strength, height, courage, prosperity, caretaking abilities, marks of good health (good skin, shiny hair, facial symmetry). Not all of those are physical, but a female isn't going to want to mate with a genetically deficient male any more than he's going to want to mate with her. Everyone's looking for the best thing they can get. I didn't say most important quality. I said it's whats most important and clearly indicated by the world in which we live. The most popular people in school 999/1000 arent the ugly kids. And in modern terms I'd say All men are pigs and all women are crazy. Men are still primal they want to sniff and mount. Women need to select the most virile out the pack, doesnt always mean the best looking but more or less the alpha would be her top choice. We're programmed and thus slaves to our genetics You said "the most important thing anyone can be." Important is a loaded word. You're not saying it's the thing that can make your life easiest (and I hope you wouldn't say that! My friend, who's very beautiful, wishes all the time she was less pretty because of all the damn stalkers she gets), or the thing that helps us most to get things out of strangers, or the thing that makes people want to watch us on a television. You're saying it's the MOST IMPORTANT THING anyone can be. (I'd also add that, in my experience, we had some pretty objectively plain people at the top of the popularity ladder in high school. Some of them were charming, some of them played the popular sports, etc... really, what they had were great social skills. Some of the nerds were actually hotter than the popular kids, from a purely physical standpoint.) I'm not going to go any further with the "genetics" discussion, if you don't mind. I'm a science writer (former scientist) and that sort of thing always makes me twitchy.

Well, it's hard for me to participate in this discussion. So to attempt to understand where you all are coming from, I'm going to pick an "unattractive" fortysomething male in the company. Let's say... William Regal. A thoroughly homely face, a body that's okay, but nothing special among wrestlers, and he's getting older. Yet, I'd take Mr. Regal for a roll in the hay. I think he's an incredibly attractive man. Why, when his looks are average bordering on ugly? CHARISMA. He's got it, baby. You either got it or ya don't, and Regal has it in spades. So yeah, I understand being attracted to Vickie. I'm not personally, but I'm attracted to another average-looking middle-aged person on the roster, so it's not hard to understand at all. I would wonder if there was something seriously wrong with anybody if they said they wouldn't f*** Regal. Even straight men. I'm sorry, but f***ing William Regal would be amazing if only for the experience of having done it. You know that slimy bastard has some awesome tricks up his sleeve. And by sleeve I mean penis. ...........So, anyone have any interesting thoughts on socioeconomics?

Where did the social and economic discussion come from and what does it have to do with the topic at hand? I was going to ask this same question. Seems to have come out of nowhere, since it doesn't make any sense in regards to this topic. When someone asks "Who cares?", they're referring to people on this board. Considering that there's nothing more you can really argue about this topic other than "She's hot/alright/ugly" it just seems like it's not worth having a whole thread.

Yeah. Unless you're talking about actors, important people who weren't average looking or less have been and probably will stay in the sheer minority. Yeah, there's the occasional John F. Kennedy, people who are considered some of our more attractive historical figures. But they're quite outnumbered by the Albert Einsteins and Carl Sagans, who's predominant contribution to society is their talents, not their looks. Also, Henry Kissinger. Just sayin'. Again, you're naming the top .00001%, total exceptions to the rule and further proving the point. Besides politics is showbusiness for ugly people anyway. As brilliant as the contributions of Einstein, Gates, Hawkins and many other ugly people are to society none of them will trend on facebook. They won't get high ratings for TV shows, and they won't be able to push any merch on commercials. And those are men, it turns to a .00000000000000001% of totally unattractive succes stories when it comes to females. They exist and they stick out so we remember them but they are the exceptions rather than the rule. Life can be harsh I'm not quite sure what you mean. Yeah, in the short term, the good looking people get more ass, but unless they have something to offer outside of their looks, they don't get far at all, unless they luck out and marry someone smart or successful. Look at Forbes, or Time Magazine; unless they're an entertainer of some sort, their looks are probably a secondary or tertiary or even non-existent factor in their success. Even if you want to get more down-to-earth, the successful people; the ones who graduated top of their class, who come to the high school reunions in the nicest cars are usually the less-than-attractive ones who focused on their studies, or it's the attractive ones who, again, managed to marry the less-than-attractive ones who focused on their studies. Looks are important, yes, but money, brains, and power are much better aphrodisiacs. The "hot guys" made prom king, no doubt, but unless they had some elbow grease to go with the hair gel, they probably didn't make it far in the real world, because they weren't tough enough or smart enough to. Not only are scientists not the prettiest fellows, but neither are sergeants or foremen.

Not only are scientists not the prettiest fellows, but neither are sergeants or foremen. When you bring up Forbes you continue to make my point. He's the .00001%. Money and power work better for males in getting women because of the alpha male principle and the fact desires are different between the two sexes. You're obviously not tasting what I'm cooking here. Which is fine we're arguing totally different points on the same topic. It happens. Not a slight at you or anything but you just aren't going to understand my point and I don't have the time or desire to put it into different terms at this hour.

He'd get you doing all the work without you even realizing it.

Late to the party, but yeah, she's decently attractive given her age and such. At least for me, it's that she's average to decent looking, as well as just looking like she has a nice personality (given it looks like she's having fun on TV now, I'm sure there's other things I'm forgetting right now). Bottom line, for me it's a combination of looks and personality, where for most of the Divas it's just looks (to a greater degree than Vickie, but still).
But yeah, woman needs to grow her hair out in the worst way. The emo swish doesn't do it for me at all.

How in the blue hell did we go from Vickie being ugly to a discussion on Forbes magazine and William Regal's sexual stamina? Man, this forum never ceases to amaze me. Why I love it though. ;D
