...Before he has like, a major breakdown or something. Physical breakdown, mental breakdown, I swear the guy is running himself ragged and it seems like every single chance for a storyline break he skips through it because Cena Cannot Miss Raw.
As I said in another thread, I swear Cena uses wrestling to vent his stress. Since the divorce started, he's been for the most part MORE prominently featured than he has for a while, almost always with the main event slot, and that's besides all the other stuff like the Make-A-Wishes and whatnot he does. He's been doing this for what, seven or so years? His last break for any substantial time was what, 2008, and even then he rushed through the recovery?
I'm worried he's going to end up like Kurt Angle or Ric Flair down the road if he doesn't learn to slow down. Just look at how much the man has aged in the face since 2003, even compared to his contemporaries.

Honestly, with how much strain his body already has and how much WWE's insistent on getting every last drop out of him, I don't think Cena's going to be physically able to be the next Angle or Flair. I see him either getting crippled or dying before he can reach that point at the rate he's going.

I find this type of talk to be a bit exaggerated nowadays. The "OMG he's gonna break down" trend is a bit overplayed.

Who knows? As long as he wants to, I guess. Cena's a big boy, he can decide for himself when he wants to take a break.

The guy is a machine.
I mean, literally. The kind of workload he takes just isn't human.

I think at this point he'll only take a break if he makes an inappropriate rape joke towards AJ on twitter, gets suspended, has Natalya and Big Daddy V talk shit about him in a live stream, and continues to be a tool on twitter.

I find this type of talk to be a bit exaggerated nowadays. The "OMG he's gonna break down" trend is a bit overplayed. Part of me thinks it's passive aggressive talk for not wanting him on television for their ideal RAW. I mean, I understand he's going through a lot and I definitely sympathize with him. But these same people 'begging' for Cena to take a break or hang it up are the same people who groan when he wins matches on PPVs against their favorites or is featured more prominently then DB or Punk. Just my own two cents though.

I actually wouldn't mind Cena taking time off. There'd be a void, as there always is with anyone that charismatic, but there's more than enough talent to make up for his absence.
Although I do hope most fans asking for him to take a break truly are concerned about his well being, and don't just want him off TV because he made a joke they didn't care for.
EDIT: Nobody get the wrong idea: I'm not trying to make an assumption about everyone expressing concern for Cena's well being, but I'm sure there's at least a small amount of people that want him to go on vacation because they think he's (for whatever made up reason) not good enough to be on the show. With the performances he's put on since at least 2007, I'm hoping those folks are few and far between.

I find this type of talk to be a bit exaggerated nowadays. The "OMG he's gonna break down" trend is a bit overplayed. I'd agree with that. He's been seriously injured, what, twice? Perhaps a cause to monitor himself on occasion, but it's not like he's brittle or anything. As far as the mental aspect, it'd be impossible for an outside casual observer to accurately judge that I think. Dude may just be a workaholic. And honestly, given Vince's personality, if that is the case, Cena being the fixture he is makes a ton of sense from that standpoint.

Are we sure cena's (ex) wife wasn't beating him?
I used to work with a dude who NEVER wanted to go home.
If he wasn't working 2 hours a day of overtime(off the clock),he was trying to convince people to come hang out at bars with him til the sun came up.
One night he broke down and told me his wife was always slapping him upside the head and biting him

Unfortunately, it would take a semi-serious injury to happen to him so he can relax and get his health back in order...
Not that I am wishing him an injury, but at his workrate, its what it may take for him to take a much-needed breather.

"How much longer can Cena go?" Probably something his ex-wife has thought to herself on several occasions. Then, taking in to account that she is his EX-wife, I guess the answer would be, not much longer.

With the performances he's put on since at least 2007, I'm hoping those folks are few and far between. I respectfully agree and disagree. While yes , admittedly Cena is a decent wrestler and imo better then Warrior or Hogan and does degree to be on the show...He does not deserve to be featured ahead of guys like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan period. I have no problem with Cena right now other then the fact that he's painted as more important then WWE Championship when he's not , never has been and never will be. Heck , That's not even a knock on Cena. If the UFC tried to tell me that Jon Jones was more important then the Light Heavyweight title or that Anderson Silva was more important then the middleweight title , it would annoy me to. Hell , Take it outside of combat sports. Go to MLB , As big as the yankees are , they aren't a better team then the World Series champions. The world series champions are the best baseball team just like the WWE Champion is and has meant that you were "best" wrestler in the company.
