I used to hang out in the chat rooms. In fact, I met a really good friend of mine there.
I remember attending the Outthink the Fink chats. Even won a t-shirt.

Wasn't it on WWF on AOL where Vince did that chat where a glitch led to him being the only one that could post anything and he ended up just talking to himself about Sable being hot and Jerry Jarrett being a a great wrestling mind.

I had so many of those "Try AOL Free!" discs because they came with WWF Magazine.
The chat room hosts--the equivalent of our forum's moderators--all had "HostWWF" in their screen names. Every so often someone would type "OMG do you work for the WWF??!!!"
Polling was illegal in the chat rooms. An example would be someone typing "If you like Steve Austin gimme a Hell Yeah!!!"

I'm a little high strung to begin with, so when Vince would welcome me with "welCOME to the W W F on AMERICA onLINE!!!!" (caps for Vince-emphasis.)
Anyone else remember that?
And what would you even call what the WWF on AOL was? Was it a website? A module? AOL had a bunch of those little things. I always use to go to this one that reviewed n64 games. That's how I found out (and freaked out) about WWF Wrestlemania 2000. Ahhhh Simpler times.

I met my oldest and one of my best friends of 10 years in WWE Chat UK. That's enough for me. Hahaha.

I remember being 11 and IMing someone with the screen name "IAmRVD" and saying "Hi RVD I am a big fan good luck with your match on RAW tonight" (with 10x worse grammar) and the screen name replying "Thanks, man."
Like RVD would have such an obvious screen name like that, and be online in some crappy chat room a few hours before RAW. I miss being naive.

I pretty much hung out in that chat room from its creation to its final days, when it was literally just 5 guys and 20 ad bots.

Question: Do you plan on signing randy savage when his contract expires? WWFLive2: In the year 2032, that might be a little late.
He must have really restrained himself here lol
Question: Will we ever see Bret in the WWF again and have you spoke to him since? WWFLive2: He might return one day to the WWF, but not at the rate that his skill is deteriorating in WCW.
Sour grapes. Bret was fine...WCW was the one deteriorating on Bret.
WWFLive2: If the canvas on the ring had not been changed in the last month. and, Vader has been in the building, there will be an odor. It's Vader Time. That sends shock waves through the WWF lockerroom.
Haha..

Does anyone know if that was really Vince talking? I mean I can't see him wanting someone else acting like him in a public forum, but also can't see him sitting in front of a computer talking to people.. Although I'm sure if he was doing it, someone else was typing..

I remember a fake Trish Stratus on AOL, I think she even fooled a "newz" site into taking an interview from her back in the day, which they later retracted.
