Evil group beatdowns are one of the most basic storylines in wrestling. I have no problem with it.

TNA has been pretty short on Heels, the Aces and 8s reveal will definitely restock them.

It will completely cease to be interesting the second they're revealed.
Heel stables are done.

Could be Joey Ryan? that was mt thought after the gut check beatdown He would be a VERY good choice. A charismatic egomaniac who feels like he's been overlooked by the company. If they target Taz next I can see it being him. TNA have definitely done a great job with this thing, we have no idea who the leader is but there's a fair few people it could be at the same time.

After iMPACT this past week, the Aces and 8's storyline is the best thing going on, next to Joseph Park. It reminds of the n.W.o taking over wCw, just a little different. I hope when they are revealed its not a big flop, i have faith though. As long as Bischoff or Jarrett aren't a part of it.

{Spoiler}According to PWInsider, {Spoiler}Mike Knox was one of the members on Thursday. So was D-Lo Brown, but he was just a placeholder, they have been rotating the guys under the masks to throw people off the scent of the members. Think it's safe to say that {Spoiler}Wes Brisco (the long haired blond one) will definitely be one of the dudes. I hope these guys are in the final group...they will be pretty awesome and fresh additions if given completely new characters and a push. EDIT: sorry for not tagging it spoilers. The first one mentioned was NEWZ, the others were mentioned on this thread.

If they push these guys as overlooked talent wanting to make a name for themselves, and have them show what they can do, it could work well as a stable.

they have been rotating the guys under the masks to throw people off the scent of the members. That just seems incredibly stupid to me. Why do it? I mean, it serves no purpose, imo.

Yeah, after watching Impact on Thursday I'm thinking it's Joey Ryan. He went out and partnered with a bunch of young non-affiliated (non-WWE, non-TNA, but wouldn't necessarily call them indie) guys who have something of a name and a following and think they could make an impact (no pun intended) in TNA but aren't being given the chance. Guys like Domino, Luke Gallows, Wes Brisco, Mike Knox, etc.

Joey Ryan would make a great charismatic gang leader. Just so long as they aren't neutered by having them lose week in week out to the top face (ala Nexus and Cena) it could work very well.

What I'd mark most for would be if they were just doing a great job of hiding it, and that when this group reveals itself it turns out that Cheerleader Melissa/Alissa Flash is with them.

I think Jarrett is far more likely to lead the group than Bischoff. The group slowly started out by taking out Sting, then Hogan, and then last week just caused chaos. The three main guys they took out were Sting, Hogan, and Angle, and (in kayfabe) Jarrett would have a case of getting back at all three of them. Aries was endorsed by Hogan prior to Destination-X, so maybe it was the group's way of taking out TNA's hot new star. They basically ignored Roode until he went to shake their hands. Gut Check is harder to explain, unless Joey Ryan is part of the group.
Either way, so far the clues in this storyline lead directly to Jarrett. I hope TNA hits a home run with this storyline, because as mentioned, they are short on heels, and infusing some new blood would be a big help.
