He wears gear with the same design as his old man.
Hope it works out for him

Debut match. He actually somewhat good....alot better then some wrestler out there atm. Really strange seeing him wear his dads attire completely down to KLIQ on the butt...

That would be pretty effing cool to watch your son using all of your moves and mannerisms.
That said, Cody needs to set himself apart a little... and he can start by getting his own gear.
I like the little touch of Hall instructing... Hall on how to do the Razor's edge. Don't know if that was planned or if Scott was just being a proud papa.
I'm interested to see how he does.

He looked pretty good. Hopefully he stays on the right track and doesn't go down the same path his dad went down. If he does that, I think he can make it in wrestling.

Definitely agree, he needs to get his own character. But all of his moves looked very good. I am sure Scott is very proud of him already. Cody still has alot of work to do, but he definitely has alot of potential. I am willing to bet, especially if he puts on more weight, he will get a WWE contract down the line. The WWE definitely needs more talented big guys.

I don't have a problem with him wearing his dad's gear. I'm sure it was a sentimental gesture with his dad saying that if he made it he'd allow him to use it in the same vain as someone's dad letting them use an old glove, jersey or bat.
With that said, he looked very good for a debut match and I can see him making it in the WWE. Also glad to see Scott Hall looking better.

Cody appears to have some talent. I would guess he will get a bit taller as well as filling out some. He'd be in a pretty unique spot as a ripped, 6'9', 275lb or so guy who can really do some wrestling.
I wish him the best, although I didn't get his comment about not wanting to be like DiBiase, when asked about 2nd generation wrestlers. I think most people would agree Ted Jr has been pretty successful in his career to date.

When he signed with the WWE he was really raw and didn't really have much personality yet (I know a lot of people felt his older brother was more talented). Don't get me wrong, Ted was starting to find his niche before getting hurt, but many did feel he got brought up both in WWE and also the indies. Jr started in 06, signed with WWE in 07, and was called up from developmental in 08. Perfect Jr was signed real quick as well but spent 3 years in developmental before NXT. Even guys like Harry Smith and Ritchie Steamboat got a bit more seasoning before joining.

I was about to suggest he join Nick Hogan for a next-generation nWo, but that would just be a car wreck waiting to happen.

Really quite impressed with that. he's big which doesn't hurt his chances at all and his power moves were pretty impressive.
I don't think wearing his dad's outfits and using his music will hurt him in the short term on the independent scene.

I kind of like him wearing his Dad's trunks. I always like when wrestler wore links to their past in their attire, and family traditions can be carried on in ring attire. Perhaps it doesn't need to the full regalia. Perhaps he can just keep the drippy knee and elbow pads.
I liked the match, he really does move eerily similar to his Dad, like the way he holds his shoulders. He's obviously a bit taller as he looks friggin huge. Guve him a year or so and see how he's doing.

So if he went to WWE, would he be something Ramon? No. His name will be Joe Hennig.
