Also, Vince has no reason to want to bring TNA down. While the on-screen product the last couple of months has honestly been better than WWE's, they aren't in the same stratosphere at all.

Yeah because if Vince was trying to kill TNA he'd send the biggest star in the history of wrestling and have him appear almost weekly on TV for the better part of 2 and a half years on a rival companies TV Show.

if Hogan was working for Vince he'd be appearing on RAW every week.

Okay, I wouldn't go THAT far. Hogan being in a MINIMAL CAPACITY and promoting young guys is a good thing, but far from "one of the better things". It's just a thing. Aries, Roode, Joseph Park, the BFG Series - those are the better things.

Anyway, Vince should be worried about his own product before even thinking about TNA does. Two different visions and two different results: WWE's bigger and has more star power but I don't think the result on TV at the moment is better overall than TNA's. Sure, TNA's miles behind when it comes to recognition but other than a few things, I've enjoyed watching TNA better in the past couple of months. That isn't something I thought I'd say when Hogan took over; under Hogan, for someone who was told he couldn't cut a decent promo, Chris Daniels has done great since he returned.

Wow-a little touchy there, are we? I mean I don't like a lot of the things Hogan has done, particularly in the last few years of WCW, but he is the biggest star ever in the business. He's earned at least some degree of respect as well as benefit of the doubt.

Yes, Hogan has always been out for himself, first and foremost. And so has every other wrestler in the business. Ever. Hogan also seems to be genuine in his desire to promote TNA. Why would he not be? If TNA goes under, it's one less opportunity for him to get a paycheck, which he apparently really needs right now.

Like many of us, I don't always agree with TNA's direction, but then again, none of us has the kind of inside information that TNA execs are privy to, and we don't even know for sure whether Hogan is personally responsible for any specific storyline or business move TNA makes.

In other words, take it a little easier on the guy. I grudgingly admit to being highly entertained by him on multiple occasions in the past. Maybe some anger management training, or an Ambien, might help?

Hogan is the least interesting thing about iMPACT, but if he were working for Vince his contribution to the product would actually make it better so Vince would have a more profitable company to buy - should such a deal happen.

That's precisely my point. Hogan is in minimal capacity, and when he does appear he's putting other people over. That's perfect Hogan. Getting Hogan to behave himself is an art, and that's why it's one of the better things TNA's doing.

They have done so recently, he's on the show in an important role while not being the focus of it, which is something I think he enjoys doing these days. This thing with the Aces and 8's some people might not like, but if it adds another few young guys who can wrestle and puts them over a bit, then I'm all for it.

I think Hogan's "General Manager" character is the only way to write an authority figure nowadays. He shows up only when big decisions need to happen (i.e. Aries having to drop the X-Division title, setting up main events for PPV's/Impact's, etc). He doesn't dominate the show, in fact he is barely on it, but still seems like his presence was necessary for whatever point they were trying to get across. Not exactly Jack Tunney, but probably the modern day Tunney. Hogan's not out there for no reason like other authority figures are (Johnny Ace being the most recent one).

I hope they keep him that way too, having him all over impact didn't work, the crowd know who he is, they don't need to be constantly reminded who he is and what he does.
