I didn't see it posted elsewhere, but apparently it's confirmed. But this is from newz site (Wrestlenewz) so who really knows.
If it is posted elsewhere, I didn't see it but feel free to delete this.
(I did do a search to clarify)

He'll probably return just to Chokeslam/Tombstone someone and nothing more.

Who's ready for Undertaker vs. Triple H 4.0? We seem to be getting HHH Vs. Lesnar I, which I'm looking forward to.

It's not like I don't like Taker, but is he really needed for Raw 1000? The whole Summerslam card is practically already built up. So I can't imagine him having anything to do until Survivor Series, and it's too early to start building up to that now.

Well, he did appear on the first episode of Raw, and he has been a huge part in Raw's history, so it has to make sense for him to be there.

It's just a one-time appearance, he did main event the first episode, you know.

It's actually gotten to the point where it feels weird seeing him outside Wrestlemania.

But Taker isn't the kind of legend you bring back for a one day nostalgia pop. If he shows up people are going to expect a run out of it. To have him show up only to leave right away for another few months would be more disappointing than anything.

It isn't like we have a full card, they could chuck almost anyone in a match with him without much need for a story, him being back for a match IS the story.

Either that, or they could build up to a future match later down the line, like at Survivor Series.

And I think we all know who that will be. I never get tired of that Slater gif. Slater to end Taker's mania streak, you heard it here first!
