Was Bobby Heenan ever a face? As a wrestler/manager, I don't remember him ever being face. As an announcer, he was a heel pretty much the entire time as well, but he was dam* good at what he did that I think the fans ended up loving him. Just my opinion.

I just don't remember his time in WCW very well outside of his goodbye message to Monsoon

To be fair, Heenan was face by default in WCW during the entire nWo angle.

I don't think Meng has ever been a face I'm pretty sure most fans considered Faces of Fear to be a face team during the NWO years. I also remember him being popular with the fans during his hardcore title run.

I also remember him being popular with the fans during his hardcore title run. I also remember a very short-lived Meng-Barbarian feud in late-era WCW; one of them had to be the face, I would think. I know Barbarian was a face (with Warlord) as the Powers of Pain when they debuted in the WWF, but, like Meng, I don't know if he was ever a face in WCW.

Heenan was on the side Hogan was not. So when Hogan turned, so did Heenan.

Historically, I don't think Ricky Steamboat, Tito Santana, Kerry Von Erich, Kevin Von Erich, Jumpin Jim Brunzell, Verne Gagne, or Greg Gagne were ever heels.
Here's a face turn that many forgot or never knew about: Mr. Fuji ended his WWE career as a babyface after Yokozuna left Camp Cornette. Fuji would bring the U.S. flag to the ring to accompany Yokozuna. This didn't last long as Fuji's health would lead him to leave WWE.

What about Kaitlyn? (her heel turn was untelevised and not followed up on) Depends on how you want to view her initial appearances on NXT. She was brought in by Vickie Guerrero and Vickie would yell at her to attack the other divas. She even fueded with AJ for a couple weeks. You could say that she was a heel, or a very confused Face (since she later grew to hate Vickie Guerrero and her promos were confusing as to wether you were supposed to hate or like her. She kept talking about giving people wedgies).

I'm pretty sure Chris Jericho and Big Show have always been heels Jericho was somewhat of a defacto face when he aligned himself with Chyna, and proceeded to be a face into the year 2000(he quickly turned heel again, though). He was a face when teaming with Benoit in 2001. Plus, he was face after Christian and Trish turned on him, and continued to be one until he turned on John Cena later that year. And he was a face after he returned after the "Save_us" hype. Big Show was a face during his feud with The Big Boss Man, during his feud with Kurt Angle in 2004, in 2005 against Snitsky, when he teamed with Kane, against HHH in 2006, at WM XXVII against the Corre, and other forgetful storylines, plus whenever he was against nWo as The Giant in WCW. He actually is probably about 50/50 face/heel.

Chris Jericho was a face in 2004. Do some people forget that? i think it's more that Jericho is just so in his element as a heel that people tend to overlook/forget his face runs(and as I pointed out, he's had multiple, distinct ones, and I didn't even delve into non-WWE stuff). Not that he's a bad face by any means, but as a heel, to borrow a phrase from one of his oldest enemies, he's just that damn good, so people remember him more/only as a heel.

Miz was also a face on debut, just sucked at it then. I always kind of thought they were going for a heel that thought he was a face...

I was being sarcastic. Jericho and Show always change. Sorry guys. Glad I sparked a debate though.
