It'd be a nice touch if Sting actually believed in Storm's innocence (not because of the dumbest man in professional wrestling reputation) but because he too was falsely accused of colluding with a group of thugs who made it look like he was guilty. That would be some of the best continuity ever. Given that it features Sting, naturally, he has to be proven wrong. Storm is behind the Dead Man's Hand.

I JOE STILL IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT, BOYEEEE. This made me laugh so much. It'd be a nice touch if Sting actually believed in Storm's innocence (not because of the dumbest man in professional wrestling reputation) but because he too was falsely accused of colluding with a group of thugs who made it look like he was guilty. Yeah, actually this is pretty good. I like the idea of Sting trying to talk sense to the rest of the locker room and sympathising with Storm. Would be a nice touch.

TNA is starting to scare me. They're good right now...A little too good. I'm worried. It's like Bundynomics. As a Bundy builds up good luck, they start building up an equal and opposite amount of bad luck. When everything comes crashing down, it creates a shitstorm of epic proportions. That's the feeling I'm getting from TNA.
All of these good Impacts and PPVs...We're doomed.

I've said it all along, Aces & Eights is led by Roode. He's the top bad guy and he needs a stable. Him blaming Storm just solidifies it in my mind.

Anyways, if I have missed it quick run-down?

I don't think Roode is the leader but that could easily be put down to him wanting to deflect blame so much that he was willing to take the beating - especially if the end game is A&8's helping him regain the World Title.

Anyways, if I have missed it quick run-down? Mike Shaw lost in his Gut Check match with Doug Williams, but passed the challenge (in spite of Joey Ryan distracting everyone via sucker punch on Al Snow from the crowd). Gail Kim and Madison beat Tara and Mickie via dubious refereeing by Earl Hebner. Sting got named as temporary GM, and Roode accused Storm of being behind Aces and Eights. This was followed by the group attacking AJ during the latter's BFG series match with the Cowboy (but not hitting Storm) leading to a no contest. The attacked Angle after his BFG series victory over Bully Ray, and the Impact babyfaces came out, but the heels didn't flee until Storm showed up. Now everyone's suspicious of him. Aries got assigned to name the X-Division number one contender and whittled down the challengers to Kenny King who lost his title match via interference by Roode who got involved to spite A Double. Oh, and Chavo Guerrero Jr is the toughest, quickest, most skilled, and most legendary wrestler in the history of Impact.

To throw everyone off as he uses AE to get the belt back. This reeks of a Flair/Horsemen type deal....and I dig it.

Watching it now. I want a gif of Roode leaving, and saying "I'm outta here".
Could get a lot of mileage.

Couple years ago, if you'd have told me that Bully Ray would be one of the best parts of the show, I'd have called you nuts. If you'd told me he'd be able to keep up with Kurt Angle ring-wise, I'd have called the men in the white coats to have a little chat with you. Good match.
The most awkward part of the night was the finish to the Knockout tag, IMO. Is this going to lead to another "Hebner is biased and gets fired" angle?

Aside from the ridiculous Madison and her "boyfriend Earl Hebner helping her win, this was a pretty good Impact. Not great, being a Gut Check episode for now that's impossible, but overall the 2nd half hour was the best. Three great matches. Nice ending with Angle and Storm about to go at it, setting up next week the match for next week, not to mention the tag team match of Roode & Zema vs Aries & Kenny King.

Providing it leads to Hebner actually not being allowed to referee because of his bias then I'm okay with this stunt being pulled. He's absolutely terrible at refereeing and ruins certain matches for me.
