Yeah, it's not violence. WWE calls it "physical intensity".

It's not violent, it's just ruthlessly aggressive.

I guess that's why Ultimate Warrior can't come back unless he agrees to be retooled as the Ultimate Pacifist.

Actually, the statement against WWE is what bothers me. You could use the "Benefit from violence" thing on anyone with a background in sports and certain types of entertainment. This. You don't see hardly anyone say that Football is anything other than good family entertainment. And I absolutely love it, but it's incredibily violent. I know it gets some criticism, but it's uber-rare in the mainstream (Although that sentiment is growing) No one says Jerry Jones is a man who built his fortune with violence.

WWE needs an intelligent spokesman who knows the business and can respond to stuff like this. Their recent attempts to defend themselves have been pitiful, and sound like businessmen who know nothing about what the company actually does. Not violent? The entire concept of WWE is based around violence. He could have defended WWE by comparing it to Hollywood films or tv shows, and stated that WWE is escapism from the true violence and brutality of the world. Saying it's not violent makes WWE sound absolutely idiotic. And 40% of the audience is women...so what? How is that evidence that a show isn't violent? Because all women hate everything violent? Exactly, he could say 'unlike MMA for example, our product is much safer, controlled and family friendly'.

Too bad its not a couple of months from now. "WWE is nonviolent......BUT BUY HELL IN A CELL THIS WEEK ON PPV, THE DEVILS MOTHERf***ING PLAYGROUND, WHERE CAREERS ARE SHORTENED!!!" Greatest post. Also, this is just insanely laughable. I feel like WWE marketing are somewhere up there in outer space, basically, like they're talking with Darth Vader. (Invisible cookie for anyone who remembers that line without a Google.)

All one has to do to counter the entire argument they're making is to show WWF-made commercials highlighting Foley falling through the cell/falling through the table.
WWF made a killing off those images.

As this pertains to a senate campaign, I don't see why this should be allowed to continue.
