I would like to see a book called The Marvel Universe Kills Deadpool.
You can base it on Rob Liefeld's recent comments and have the last panel be all the heroes standing over his body and say: "f***in' D lister"

Marvel's new November solicits confirm the cancellation of Avengers Academy and, perhaps surprisingly, an end for Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers, with Parker seemingly confirming a relaunch focussing solely on the Dark Avengers side of the cast, with the Thunderbolts done and done well, there's a book I have no interest in reading. only a matter of time before it flops and Marvel ends up bringing the classic T-bolts back AGAIN, like they do every other time they fail to "re-invent" the book without any of the classic team. also, after reading said solicits, Marvel couldn't make it more obvious that they're killing off Cyclops if they tried. At this point the only other thing they could do with the guy is turn him heel, and while that would have been the more compelling story, death = insta-redemption on return

which recent Rob Liefeld comments? last time I heard of him being a jerkass was Shatterstar-gate a couple years back. He said that MARVEL was treating Deadpool like a D-Lister cause none of the Triple A writers were going to it, and instead to stuff like Captain America, X-Men, Avengers, etc. This seemed to not make people who wrote Deadpool all that happy.

Hell Liefeld can't even really take credit for Deadpool in my opinion. I mean yeah he 'created' him; but NONE of the features that made him a loved character came from ol' Rob.

Walking Dead 101-Awesome. The stakes are still rising, and now it Rick's turn to return the favor. I can't wait for 102. My favorite part of this issue was the interaction and intensity between Sophia and Carl.
Nightwing #12-I liked. It was a good close to the story and I definitely enjoyed the conversation between Zucco and Dick near the end. The art was great and I also liked the Mr. Combustible appearance. I am looking forwards to #0 with Dick's origin and see how it goes, and I am looking forward towards the Lady Shiva match up next arc.
Green Lantern #12-I got the first few issues of GL but then I dropped off it due to lack of interest and cost. I got back on it a few issues and haven't regretted yet. I never read Blackest Night and I currently playing catch up on it right now. The cliffhanger at the end caught me off guard, and I really like Black hand. I also appreciated the art too.
Issue I wish I got: Daredevil #17. Don't really know why I didn't pick up this up. Daredevil is favorite hero from Marvel.

Now this is clearly proof people just blindly hate on Rob, are we seriously going to argue Daniel Way, the guy who's been writing DP for 5 years, is top talent? C'mon guys. Deadpool IS being treated like a d-lister, because at Marvel if you're not an 'architect' you're not important.

Pool's had the same basic look since his debut, so to say nothing was done by Rob that people love is really overlooking that his costume, despite being a Spidey rip-off, is extremely successful and popular. Also, in not Rob Liefeld news - do you enjoy Marvel Premiere Classics? Well that line is done. New premier hardcovers of new series are coming out, but the classic line is ending.

OTOH they have a celebrity in Brian Posehn writing the book soon, and I don't see any famous stand up comedians signing up to write Avengers (this may or may not be a good thing, I'm just saying it's not like Deadpool isn't getting any attention). I'm just bummed that Remender isn't writing him. I know he's a busy dude but Rick Remender is the only guy writing Deadpool write now who writes him to be anything other than a 1 note joke.

Cable didn't become a worthwhile character until Fabian Nicieza, Jeph Loeb (when he was still good) and Joe Casey wrote him. Deadpool's real daddies are Nicieza and Joe Kelly (Chris Priest's brief run was great, too). Domino was completely worthless until she started appearing in Cable and Deadpool. hell even Shatterstar was saved from being a footnote by Peter David.

Yeah I was going to give him credit for the look but forgot, so I'll concede that point. But really, 'Pool wasn't a character at that point, he was a design. A decent one, admittedly a Spidey rip which you addressed, but a decent design nonetheless. So yes, we're in agreement that the look you can credit to Rob; but again clearly everything else was built by something else. That's not a knock on Rob really to be honest, I'm just saying that even as 'creator', so much of what made the character a huge fan favorite- besides the look- falls into those that followed him and actually made 'Pool a developed character rather than a decent looking cipher.

S***, If Liefeld pisses off Marvel's higher ups then DC is stuck with him GO AWAY LIEFELD!!!!, You ruined Deathstroke & Hawkman He's quitting the big two, going to focus on creator owned stuff. I couldnt care less who is writing Deadpool, the simple fact is that someone is. The guy has a random mini series going right now and appears in at least two regular ongoings. His creative team not being a big name means F all because he's still selling, still being used and not currently sat in limbo like a truck load of others. Therefore Liefield has no cause for complaint, unless what he really means is that he isnt on Deadpool and this is all reaction to him getting a knock back for a job doing it. I actually quite like the guys art for its 90s retro appeal, but the man is clearly so far up his own ass he cant see his feet, which explains a lot.

Oh christ yeah, I remeber reading about that......now.
I suppose mentioning Morrison's departure overshadowed it

y'know, I'm starting to get the sense that Morrison really hated the reboot and only did his work for it as a favor to his buddies running it. I mean, if you look back at his run on Animal Man, he already took the piss out of continuity reboots once, and in Action Comics he included a background scene of a blonde girl (totally not Stephanie Brown) getting trussed up and hauled off to be replaced by a redhead (who totally wasn't Barbara Gordon).

It's interesting he'd think that way, given his general fast and loose continuity ideas.
Side note, in this weeks ASM, one of the letters to Dan Slott and co. is from Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian

he is a bit "fast and loose" yeah, but pretty much his big argument during Animal Man was "this never existed" is a terrible thing to do to a character. mind, he thinks of fictional characters as living and breathing things, so there's that.
