This dude has red hair with waves and his hairline puts Dracula's to shame. Do they ever explain this in the comics?

You can't imagine my disappointment when he showed up on the big screen without it.

A few years ago he inexplicably became Tommy Lee Jones, with that same hairstyle.
Ridges hair is genetic though cuz Harry had it ( I guess has would be more accurate, since they brought him back.. good lord I still hate that) as well.

It's never explained, but it HAS become a pretty funny running joke through the comics, especially during the Dark Reign arc where he was the big bad of the Marvel Universe.

It's how you know he's evil, like how Luthor's lack of hair makes him evil.

It's how you know he's evil, like how Luthor's lack of hair makes him evil. I just love it, during an otherwise unremarkable New Avengers book, Normans' got Clint Barton trapped in the HAMMER Helicarrier, and is interrogating him with the full Dark Avengers lineup backing him up, and all Barton has to say is "Seriously, how do you get your hair to even DO that?". Made me howl.

He has curly hair but he combs it back, giving it a wavy look.
I never got why Bendis didn't realize this.

It reminds me of Ben Savage (Cory Matthews) hair on Boy Meets World.

I loved the classic issue of Deadpool where he goes back in time and impersonates Peter Parker, and is horrified that there are 2 people with that same nonsensical haircut.
note to Amazing Spider-Man sequel director; if Norman appears he better have that hair. and be played by Tommy Lee Jones.

I remember Peter and Mary Jane moving to a new place during the first Venom storyline after Eddie broke into their place and a bunch of the supporting characters helped them move, including Harry. Harry had his Osborn hair and some punk rocker with a giant mohawk was thinking "Dude, he's got some gnarly hair!" or words to that effect. Makes me wonder if their hair was a running joke from the start.

Same comic. Incidentally, I own this double-sizer and the hilarious jokes Deadpool lobbies at the Osborns, and how he/Blind Al react to the "out there" 60's sluttiness of swinging Mary Jane (all while wearing Peter Parker/Aunt May's faces) has gotta be the hardest I've ever laughed reading a Marvel comic! Ditto the Tommy Lee Jones. I think the artists have been given an edict by Marvel CEOs in anticipation of the Spidey reboot-- Jones almost has to be Norman at this point. Way to go, true believers! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)
