I will be watching it in 2 days time. National holiday here tomorrow so theatre isn't allowed to open.

Just got home from watching it, and all I can say is OH MY GOD! jaw-droppingly incredible. So many laugh-out-loud moments I lost count, but none of them were forced. I am so gonna be seeing this a few times yet on the big screen, and easily my Movie of the Year so far.

Watched it today. Tried to get a ticket to the first screening (1pm in 3D) but they sold out in under 20 minutes. So I got the 2D screening at 2.15pm instead. This movie is...AWESOME! This is pretty much what I wanted to see in an Avengers flick. Lot's of big action scenes. Lot's of story. Everything felt great, not one mis-step throughout it. I'll probably go watch it again once the crowds die down a bit. But it is great. Believe the hype folks and go see this now.

Just got back from the first screening me and my friend could get tickets too. AND..... yeah its pretty damn good! Same kind of silly, over the top awesomeness from the other Marvel films. Its action scenes were great, characterization was spot on and a handful of genuinely funny moments and one liners. I'm not going to spoil the plot but a few thoughts on the film {Spoiler} Loki was once again fantastic as the main villain. Hiddlestone gives a fantastic performance, expanding on the power crazed jealous younger brother aspects of the character from Thor.
Pretty much all the characters had their own crowning moments of awesome in the film. Oddly, the character who seemed featured the most out of the heroes and had the greatest number of moments of awesome was Black Widow. Scarlett Johansson gives a much expanded performance than in Iron Man 2 and manages to make her both badass, sympathetic & points to much darker aspects of the character. Hell, I'd love to see a Whedon scripted Black Widow/Hawkeye film after this.
However, some of the characters do suffer. Captain America seems... not relegated, but there is a moment at the end given to Black Widow that I really feel should've been given to Cap to solidify him as a key component of the team. However, the emphasis for him in the final battle is more his experience and tactical nuance so I guess it does work. I also felt Thor could've had one or two more moments of badassery.
However, all in all it was damn enjoyable. Hulk's final moment of awesome is utterly amazing and hilarious and one I NEED a gif of. They've definitely taken more than a few notes from the first run of the Ultimates in plotting the film. And the mid-credits twist is fricking amazing!

Just got back, loved every second of it. Like the others said, lots of funny moments, great story, would definitely go see again. But I have 1 question (i'm not a big comic book fan): {Spoiler}Who's the dude at the end??

That is the videogame tie-in we would've gotten. A superhero movie videogame FINALLY looks to be worth a real damn and THQ cancels it. SMH...

Appreciate you guys putting spoiler tags. A fellow crapper or whatever we are calling ourselves now already put a spoiler up on Facebook. I'm actually not sure if it's legit or not, but reading that kinda sucked. Now I'm curious.
