It's the story of a bad guy from a video game who escapes and tries to change his ways by helping good guys in other games I love this poster!

It seems interesting. I just hope it's well-written and not pandering.

When the guy directing also directed Marge vs The Monorail and at least five of the best episodes Futurama ever had (including Jurassic Bark), there's really nothing to worry about.

Concept art for the film has suggested that Wreck-It Ralph will feature cameo appearances from a number of video game characters. The characters exhibited thus far include:
Bowser from Super Mario Bros. Doctor Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog Kano from Mortal Kombat Pac-Man ghost from Pac-Man Doctor Wily from Mega Man Zangief from Street Fighter Coily the Snake from Q*bert Credit: Wreck-It_Ralph article on WikipediaPretty awesome cast, too. (John C. Reilly voices Ralph)

If I remember correctly the entirety, or at least majority, of the film takes place in an arcade, and with the help of a feminine computer glitch, Ralph will jump from arcade cabinet to arcade cabinet.

I was excited until I heard John C. Reily was voicing him...ugh.
Actually on first glance, I thought this was going to be a remake of the Mouse and the Motorcycle.

I'm....cautiously optimistic. Most video game movies tend to miss the mark, but, then again, I think, over the years, Disney's built up a little blind faith with me, but I guess it just depends on how it develops, and what the trailers look like.

As for Zangief, well, to be honest I've forgotten which side of the good vs. evil fence he fell on. He was at least a bad guy for most of the 1994 live action Street Fighter movie.

The poster, the director and the cameos, it all sounds great! Hopefully they'll get the balance right between kids and adult gamers (65/35?) and have a chip-tune soundtrack.

He was at least a bad guy for most of the 1994 live action Street Fighter movie. I always pegged Zangief within the Capcom canon as a good guy- he seems to be pretty anti-Shadoloo in most of the games. Anyway, I usually like John C. Reilly, so I'm looking forward to this.

I misread this as "Whack-it Ralph". I guess I just named the porn parody version.

I like how the arcade game they made for it to be based on seems to be a little bit of Rampage with a little bit of Donkey Kong with a little bit of I'm not sure for the mechanics of the player character.
I LOVE the KISS principle in action on the poster too. That'll definitely stick out in theaters.
