The International House of Paincakes? Who used that one? As for Raven being from The Bowery-when you consider the actual background of a lot of grungers, being from a gentrified area actually makes sense.

Black Blood's "little town in France"? Also, Jimmy Jacobs' "dark side of a broken heart". I loved his emo gimmick to death, but this ascpect of it was kind of stupid.

Hack Myers was from "The Last House On The Left".
Of course, nothing was as awesome and heat-generating as Ted DiBiase being billed from his seasonal residences.
D-Von Dudley was billed from "the South Side of Dudleyville".

"Hailing from Dunkin' Donuts, in the great state of Obesity..."
I don't care that it was used only the one time to get heat, it was awesome.

What's funny is that, when Raven used "The Bowery," it was a time when New York's Bowery district had a history for being one of the more undesirable areas of the island of Manhattan. Along with being the epicenter for punk rock and a lot of avant garde music in the 70s, it was all drugs and crime. My first weekend after moving to NYC in '04 I accidentally got lost one Friday night in there and saw both a guy shooting up in a phone booth as well as a militant Black Israelite meeting. Fast forward to now and it's one of the most gentrified/cleaned up areas in the city. What were once shelters and smoke shops are art galleries and pre-schools. NYU's presence makes it one of the most heavily secured and clean areas as well. Basically, when the next generation looks back on Raven's billing, it's going to possibly seem exceptionally silly. How's Palm Beach these days?

Two of my favorites.
