I put this in (w)Rest because it covers more than one promotion. If I had to list my top-ten favorite tag teams of all-time, it would probably go something like this. (using bullet points instead of numbers because it's in no particular order.) - The Steiner Brothers
- The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim Niedhart)
- Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko (World Tag Team champions in both ECW and WCW)
- Rob Van Dam & Sabu
- The Rockers
- Owen Hart & Yokozuna
- The Road Warriors/Legion of Doom
- The Outsiders
- The New Age Outlaws
- Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie (Terry Funk)
I decided not to repeat any one person on the list; originally I had Owen/Jarrett following Owen/Yokozuna, and was going to include Owen's tag team with the British Bulldog, but I thought that might be overkill. Anyway, now you do yours. Just the ten teams in history that you enjoyed the most, for whatever reason. Go.

I've always liked threads like this, in part because it prompts me to think back to times that were very entertaining and re-imagine them. Anyway, here goes:
1. The Fabulous Kangaroos-the only tag team that had name recognition around the world prior to the WWF era. The Kangaroos drew sellout crowds in every promotion they played and were also among the longest running teams of all time, working together for over 20 years. Al Costello and Roy Heffernan were the longest-running Kangaroos, but Don Kent and a few others also had successful runs under the banner.
2. The Road Warriors-the best team of the modern era. They redefined the image of the tag team. Very few fans had ever seen one guy, much less two, with the incredible physiques of the LOD when they debuted in the early 80's. Couple that with terrific costumes and intense personas and you have Main Event sellouts all over the country.
3. The Fabulous Freebirds-runner up for best team of the modern era. The 'Birds also reinvented the tag team, with the then-unique 3-man gimmick, and musical intros. They were among the first to create there own songs and videos ("Badstreet, USA"). Micheal Hayes' brilliant mic skills perfectly complimented Terry Gordys' immense physical gifts to make up the core of the team. Buddy Roberts, Jimmy Garvin and several others fly with the Birds as well.
4. The Dudleys/Team 3-D-the best team in multiple promotions, including the WWF, which rarely emphasized tag teams. The Dudleys have more world tag titles in more promotions than perhaps any other team in history. DVon and Bubba Ray work together as smoothly as ballet partners and are both terrific talkers.
5. The British Bulldogs- Highly influential based on the their high flying combinations and double teams, the Bulldogs were unfortunately short-lived. The Dynamite Kid popularized many moves that are common for teams today, and he was complimented by the power of Davey Boy Smith.
6. The Interns-the best of the old-school masked teams, the Interns, with manager "Dr" Ken Ramey were main eventers in most of the U.S. territories from the 60's thru early 80's.
7. Edge and Christian-the most successful team in the WWF with 10 titles. Great workers and solid talkers-might rank higher on this list had they not broken up to pursue singles careers(typical WWF fashion)
8. 4 Horseman/Brain Busters-Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard parlayed clockwork-precise moves and unabashed arrogance to become the first modern team to win tag titles in both NWA/WCW and WWF.
9. Rock and Roll Express-the quintessential young, cute babyface team built on sex appeal. Ricky Morton's superb vocal and in ring ability worked well with Robert Gibson's understated reliability to win 5 NWA/WCW tag titles in the 80's-90's.
10. Bruiser and Crusher-these two blue-collar brawlers were perfectly suited to the time(1950's-60's) and place.(midwest U.S.) They were main eventers and sellouts consistently based on a great vocal style and fully believable in-ring brutality.

In no real order: - Road Warriors/Legion of Doom - One of the greatest of all time and maybe the best look ever.
- Steiners - Back when Scott could go in the ring they were often the highlight of shows for young me.
- The Dudleys/Team 3D - Again a case could be made for them being one of the greatest ever. From ECW to WWE to TNA they have done it all in and out of the ring.
- Miracle Violence Connection - Two badasses just being that in the ring.
- The Enforcers - I wasn't around for Arn and Tully's heyday but, was for this group. Their short run in WCW was amazing.
- Los Guerreros - The best of what maybe WWE's last golden age for tags.
- DX - Love Hunter and Shawn. Their segments were hated by many but, I loved them.
- New Age Outlaws - They played to each others' strengths and weakness better than any other.
- Hollywood Blonds - The best ever in Austin and a damn good one in Pillman. Hated them when younger but, have grown to love them.
- El Generico and Kevin Steen - Their stuff made me fans of indys.

1. Road Warriors (hands down, nothing close to them before or since)
2. Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole and Arn version)
3. Freebirds (the Freebird Rule is the coolest thing in tag history)
4. The Machines (Super Machine and Giant Machine -- I still wonder who was really behind those masks -- is an incredible gimmick)
5. Midnight Express (Condrey and Eaton -- Beautiful Bobby one of the best and most under-appreciated workers of all time)
6. Wild Samoans (never, ever, under tan circumstances, head-butt a Samoan)
7. Flair and Valentine (Nature Boy and Hammer -- finesse guy and a power guy, great combination)
8. Dudley Boys (true heatz)
9. Londrick (just like 'em)
10. Hart Foundation

As a kid I loved Harlem Heat and The New Age Outlaws.
I have to say, The Dudley Boyz body of work really makes them hard to beat as the best ever.

As a kid, the first team I remember was King Tonga and Ricky Steamboat. They weren't together a long time, but in kayfabe, it was a great pairing - Tonga wore their opponents with power and then Steamboat would put them away with speed and martial arts.
After that, my favorite team growing up was the British Bulldogs. Even as an little kid, without really understanding "workrate" or anything, i knew that the Dynamite Kid was something very different and very unique. I kind of liked the original Hart Foundation, just a little, for similar reasons (I tended to blame Jimmy Hart for their evil deeds, because as far as heels went, they never seemed THAT bad).

Hart Foundation - Simply brilliant The look/entrance music and the match quality. Says a lot in the Survivor series 89 when people are on there feet when Bret's tagged in to take on Randy Savage.
Demolition Axe and Smash Similar look as the Road Warriors but the difference is they could put on a great wrestling match
British Bulldogs I still wonder if he hadnt got injured how far Dynamite couldve gone on the singles run in the 90's like Bret and Shawn did he was so great at what he did.
The Fabelous Rougeaus Great teams and the best entrance song of that period who says wrestling couldnt do satire
Money Inc at a time when Tag teams were going down the pan Dibase and IRS were fantastic and putting on great shows while carrying other teams and making them look great
Outsiders - Dunno if there classed as a team or not but Nash and Hall started the Invasion/NWO Angle that became so big even Hogan was wanting to turn heel and be a part of it

The Road Warriors are my absolute favorites, primarily for their NWA run. That was when they were at their best IMO, although really, maybe Georgia they were more brutal, but they had their look perfected by 87 or so and everything was perfect.
The Fabulous Freebirds are a close second, and I'm counting the 4 true Freebirds in my book, which is Hayes, Gordy, Roberts & Garvin.
The Rock'n'Roll Express was probably my first favorite tag team.
I also really liked the British Bulldogs, The Midnight Express, The Steiners, and The Hart Foundation.
