There seen to be two main issues with Hart:
1. He was wrong regarding the screwjob.
2. Whoever's talking just personally doesn't like Bret Hart.
I haven't read his books or anything. Just, reading through this thread, people are bringing up pretty good reasons why most of these people are crazy or self-serving, and Bret's standing out as not really fitting in.

Shane Douglas?! The guy who thinks he's the greatest passed-over talent in wrestling history? HELL to the no. In his latest shoot, the only person he speaks negatively of is Ric Flair. He sounded fairly honest and humble.

Bret's pretty self serving alright. Reading his book, his comparisons between how business was when he was Champion and when Diesel was Champion are really grating and smug. And as business was far from brilliant when he was Champion, rather fell flat.

If Owen Hart and Biran Hildebrand were still alive, I'd believe them.

Everyone remembers the Jauques Rougeau/Dynamite Kid thing right?
I always heard that they had totally two different accounts of what really happen but reading what Dynamite Kid said and his book and what Jauques told in his shoot interview they pretty much had the exact same story.

Honestly I believe Bret as much as I do Flair and Hogan. Martel, Jacques Rougeau(possibly a few other guys) are the only ones that I trust to give an honest account.

Wasn't the Dynamite Kid brutally honest in his book, and in reality? I guess I'd believe him, if that's true, even if he is a piece of garbage.
