Speaking exclusively to Ringbelles following a two week, self-imposed exile from the Internet, Eagles broke her silence in the latest Women Of Wrestling Podcast to explain the nature of her knee injury, when and how it occurred, and its severity. "It’s just disgusting. I got the worst prognosis that I could have; either surgery and you can’t wrestle again or let’s just wait it out and see what happens. Unfortunately, that one doesn’t have any time restraint on it. We’re looking at crap or crapper." Read more about it (including how and when it happened) by clicking the link. ringbellesonline.com/2011/12/26/eagles-knee-injury-could-be-career-ending/

This has been a sucky last three months for women's wrestling - three of its most loved names going down just like that. Although Mercedes will be coming back, so many doubts about Eagles and Serena. Really hope they all come through and wrestle again.

The only good news for women's wrestling lately has been that Koari Yoneyama's not retiring-and a lot of people found reasons to be pissed about that!

There's some great stuff coming over the next three months - three big Joshi shows taped for TV, including the live Bull Nakano special, Pro Wrestling EVE in February, and then the big March with Martinez/Havok, Femme Fatales 8 and SHIMMER with Melissa/Matthews.

Don't forget the 2CW Girl's Grand Prix. We've already got Portia, Summerlyn, and SDR confirmed. Gunna be a hell of a 1 night tournament.

I don't care how it hurts wrestling so much as her own personal wellbeing. I really hope this is turns out not to be as bad as it seems, but time will tell. Just a terrible thing to have your livelihood compromised.

She's one of my secret wrestling crushes. I hope everything works out, but she needs to keep her best interests at the forefront.

I'd rather that she was able to walk without severe pain than her ever getting in the ring again, as sucky as it would be as she is easily one of the best going right now.

I have never seen her wrestle, but I know I would rather her do what's best for her, health wise.

Hey Steve, we just got the line-up for Girl's Grand Prix: Portia Perez, Serena Deeb, Sara Del Rey, Nikki Roxx, Rachel Summerlyn, Cherry Bomb, Courtney Rush and Alexxis Nevaeh. It's gonna rule hard.

Unless they get another girl, Rachel Summerlyn is getting a bye to the semi final, surely.

Not sure, she's annonced and they've had time to ppull her quietly from the line-up, so I'd assume she's a go. Hard to say really, if not they've got time to pull an 8th from Canada or the Northeast
