Got this for xmas, just finished reading it today. I figure a fair few here will have read it before. What did you think of it? It paints Vince as half shrewd maverick businessman, and half utter lunatic barely living in the real world, with his failed forays into the World Bodybuilding Federation and XFL backing that point of view up.
Is the book fair and balanced? I must say I noticed quite a few inaccuracies in it myself where I thought "that's not what happened". The book seems to rely heavily on content from the Wrestling Observer, presenting it as fact. Having never read the Wrestling Observer myself, though I am familiar of course with Meltzer and his reputation, I'm not sure whether that's a good thing in journalistic terms.
What do y'all who've read Sex Lies & Headlocks think of it?

I found it a good read, although it's been awhile since I picked it up. Also, if you're going to draw from any wrestling journalist, Meltzer is your go-to guy.

I found this book very entertaining. Of course you have to take some of the stories with a grain of salt but not unusual for a wrestling book.

I will take the.research of a published author over old internet Newz stories anyday. I read this one and enjoyed it. At the time it came out it was sheik to bash McMAHON and the tale of Vince's expansion was pretty entertaining. The most famous/infamous line from the book was from Ole Anderson, "F*** you Vince and your wife".

Remember reading it many years ago, seemed an OK and balanced book, should be if it sourced the Observer.
