Exactly.
It would've been interesting if HDNet still had Jason "Mayhem" Miller and/or Bas Rutten calling their DREAM cards, to hear their commentary for the wrestling matches.

Ok, I think Sakuraba has actually forgotten the rules of Pro Wrestling and just wants to hit elephant guy.
Also, I think Mayhem would ruin it. The announcers complete lack of having any idea of what is happening makes this surreal.

Saku's sucking wind, he's used to his fight being over by now, with rather him winning, or being unconscious.
And I love that Schiavello's trying to call this like it's a shoot/legit fight, but he doesn't want to completely oversell it.

Generic Japanese Caw is pulling off some- HOLY s*** that was one evil dropkick. Sakuraba with the neck crank, sumo comes in for the save, but saku keep it, it's over and we have the official in the ring.
Saku playing the face AND the heel post match.
Announcer: This is out of control. There are gang members in weird masks around the ring, we need security.
CHAIR SHOT-sort of.

And it looks like we got a broken arm there.
And there's still over two hours left!
And Schiavello makes a Adorable Adrian reference while wearing eyeshadow and lipstick, from losing a bet from an earlier fight.

Just watched a replay of that drop kick. Generic Japanese CAW piledrove himself on the way down. He lawn darted himself.
3 matches left. One is annoyingly little people kickboxing.
And Ishii may well be utterly smashed tonight. I like it.

This card makes me wonder, what would it be like if the UFC and WWE/TNA/ROH did a supershow with pro wrestling matches and MMA fights?
And would it be this fun?

Plus kickboxing thrown in - maybe not as long as this show is, but a US and/or UK mix of pro wrestling and MMA would be a fun night.

I agree, also the Inoki on the cross thing, I know how big a deal he is in Japan, but that was still a [bookert]WHAT DA HALE![/bookert] moment.
Also, this show reminds me how fun the N64 game Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 is/was, it was a Japanese port of WWF Wrestlemania 2000, with MMA fighters, K-1 fighters, Japanese wrestlers, some American wrestlers, legend wrestlers/fighters, and had multiple match types and settings for wrestling, K-1/Boxing, and MMA matches.

And what I would give to have that screaming voice lady(I can't remember her name) do introductions at say, a WrestleMania.
I want to say she did English introductions for the 1st WCW/NJPW Supershow, before she started really going out there with the intros in PRIDE.
Lenne Hardt is her name, thank you Wikipedia.

The same IGF Championship that was once the old IWGP Title that Brock Lesnar left New Japan with, then lost it to Kurt Angle when he was TNA Champion, correct? Actually... no. It's an entirely different title/belt. The IWGP 3rd belt that Lesnar took with him and lost to Kurt is safely in NJPW hands after Nakamura beat Angle for it and unified it with the real IWGP Title. The IGF Heavyweight Title is a completely separate entity.

The IGF Heavyweight Title is a completely separate entity. Well I meant more the original IGF Title was in fact the IWGP 3rd Belt, the physical belt, not that the linages connect, as they have two different title linages. And, I don't think anything like that could happen, at least in pro wrestling, in the States, especially after the Montreal Screwjob, where the Heavyweight title of one promotion could be taken to another promotion to be it's Heavyweight title. Will Aoki break another man's arm on New Year's Eve? Let's find out.

Two rounds gone, announcers can't agree on the hypothetical round winners.
