Honestly, that's highly subjective. And it really depends on what one's definition for a "new star who connects with the masses" is. And who "the masses" are. If I am "the masses" then I can count on one hand the number of WWE wrestlers that "connect" with me. And half of them I initially liked in the indies, while the rest aren't pushed or really used by the company. If "the masses" are "the WWE Universe", then almost anybody the WWE war machine chooses to push to the moon is gonna get over at one point or the other. If "the masses" = the IWC, then... all hell breaks lose, nobody TNA pushes will ever "connect", whereas pandering to the IWC is always appreciated. Saying whoever WWE pushes is going to get over is simply not true. The point Amityville is making, and quite accurately, is that WWE has and makes stars in the eyes of their fans. Triple H, Undertaker, John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus, The Miz, etc, were all MADE in WWE. In ROH, they MADE Bryan Danielson, Austin Aries, CM Punk, Tyler Black, Nigel McGuinness, etc. These guys reached their peak and were pushed in their company as top stars. In TNA, the majority of their top talent were MADE in another company years ago. Hardy, Angle, Sting, RVD, etc. Anytime they come close to making a top talent out of a guy who hasn't already been MADE like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, The Pope, Matt Morgan, etc, they pull the rug out from under them. exactly my point

Saying whoever WWE pushes is going to get over is simply not true. Well, Alex Riley got over, so... Or maybe it is because, funnily enough, whenever TNA tries to push a new wrestler, the company's met with total resistance from the abovementioned "fans", who'd rather see indy darlings or ex-WWE guys get the spot ? Or because "fans" are so negative on anything the company does that any single push of an Original is met, right from the bat, with criticism and complaints, because "he's pushed, but not the way the IWC wants him to be pushed, so it sucks". Matt Morgan ? A couple days ago there was a thread right here where people were complaining that he didn't have "it", and he sucked. Pope ? For a good six months at the start of his push, the exact same people were burying him, and complaining that his promos were forced, and that he was a Rock-lite. Let's not talk about Gunner or Crimson, who are now running gags on the internet. Robbie E ? Joe ? AJ ? Abyss ? Every time they get pushed, there's more whining on the web about how their push is not done the way it should be than praise that they are pushed... And let's not pretend that WWE is better at that game : aside from a handful of real superstars, the new guys have been as crappily booked as possible, and people like Alberto Del Rio & The Miz are still not considered real main event stars by many people. As far as i'm concerned, AJ is as much of a TNA star as Orton is in WWE. The only difference is budget, presentation, and the number of viewers one gets each week. Not saying that TNA's booking is flawless, far from it, but maybe "fans" (and their subjective perception of what makes a star or not) are as much to blame as the company on this one. TNA may not MAKE enough stars, but when they try, they get torn to shreds by "fans" because they're not doing exactly what "fans" want. So... (yeah, i'm kinda annoyed about that particular tired argument, especially at a point in time where a big part of the main event scene is AJ, Roode, & Storm) (rant over, sorry) -------------- And to stay on topic, "Dixie, how many aspirins do you take each day before sifting through the insults & angry messages you get on twitter/facebook ?"

"...no confidence"
I'd honestly ask what their projected TV buyrates would be for the next quarter, their merchendise targets, and what they would do to achieve those goals. I'd also ask about dividends, since I want my investment to grow.

I wouldn't say AJ is at the same level as Orton in the company, Otron's one of the top 3 names in WWE and has been for quite some time, currently he's the biggest name on a whole show.
AJ has a long line of people ahead him in terms of push and recognition.
What I seem to remember people complaining about with him was all the silly stuff they had him do, being Kurt Angle's dumb sidekick, being mini-Flair, all anyone was saying was push AJ Styles as AJ Styles based on his talents of being a very likeable guy and great wrestler.

Has the company gotten the relative bang for their buck for bringing in Hogan, Bischoff, and their associated talents?

"I've noticed many big names were brought in at top dollar in the past. Since the company has not achieved a profit in proportion to the money spent on acquiring and keeping these names, I'd like to see this feature of recruitment scaled back a great deal."
"In the past, when fans were beginning to identify with faces as top level players in the company, you have a consistent track record of turning them heel before they can reach the goal of profiting the company through fan identification, merchandise sales, and PPV buys. This has a direct effect on reducing the bottom line for the company with no corresponding payoff and I would like to see this remedied."

So you're skipping over the whole asking questions thing and just plain issuing demands? Don't get me wrong, I agree with what you're saying, but I'm also not familiar with the etiquette for these kinds of things. Is this a common thing at quarter annual stockholder meetings or are you just being presumptuous?
