Devon bores me to tears so this isn't really a big loss. If Bully Ray follows him, then it will hurt, but if it's just Devon, then meh. The TV title is also pretty pointless at this point since the BFG Series has made the world title the main focus (as it should) and the X-Division is for the smaller wrestlers. The TV title really serves no purpose other than to give someone a belt for the sake of having one.

Stupid move not having him lose the belt, but other than that im glad hes leaving, he didnt brought anything to the table since the 3D breakup.
Love Bully, hope he stays forever tho.

I wonder if there's a no compete clause considering I'm fairly certain that we'll see a tag team turmoil at the next WWE PPV

I will say, I think Bully Ray would be stupid to leave. He's part of the main event program right now. A bit tangentially, yes, but he's still involved. Then again, maybe loyalty's more important than that for him, but either way.

How do you allow one of your champions to leave without dropping the belt & putting somebody over?

Well TNA stupidity could help them in this case. They could simply say that since Devon hasn't been defending the belt regularly he's stripped of the title.
Or alternativingly they can have Eric Young find it in the trash.

I wonder if there's a no compete clause considering I'm fairly certain that we'll see a tag team turmoil at the next WWE PPV If a contract just expires, the person is immediately free to go work wherever he/she wants. A no-compete clause is for when one or both parties decide to end the contract early.

Bully Ray has hinted that his final appearance will be at Bound For Glory.
Bully Ray, whose contract will also expire this week, suggested on Twitter that he will part ways with the organization in October at Bound For Glory, which takes place in Phoenix, Arizona.
"Dont mattah where ya start..mattahs where ya finish. See ya in Phoenix!! STRONGEST THE LONGEST. #BULLYNATION," he wrote.

Or ya know, referencing the BFG Series where he started badly and wants to finish on top.

If he isn't going to drop the belt, I hope he is good enough to the business to give them the belt back.

TNA missed a prime opportunity to have Devon drop the belt to the legendary Chavo Guerrero. Guess they either will do a TV title tournament or forget the title exist and toss it into the vault along with the Knockouts tag titles.

Lots of negative on Devon. If he had little value, I'd like to know what someone valuable looks like. He was in good shape, he was over. He wasn't sluggish. He was kind of just at one level and not seeming to go anywhere, but I think the negative reaction to him is surprising, considering most of the fans like him.
Whenever Bully Ray is on the screen, Devon gets some sort of chant. In England, Devon wasn't there, and the place was wanting to see Devon. He's a favourite in the Impact Zone, though I don't know about any other places. But the guy is at least respected for the most part. Why the hate?

After Team 3D broke up, Bully Ray used it as a chance to re-invent his character, and discovered a new audience that loved what he was doing. Devon.......was just Devon. No development, no evolution just.....the same guy he's been for YEARS, only without Bubba to handle the mic work for him.

Well he is over, established world wide, and has been a TNA company man for years. Of course they get rid of him lol...
I wonder if this is an example of their new policy on contracts and Devon wasn't playing their games.

Just get rid of the TV and Knockout Tag team title....and keep the World, X, Tag and Knockout belts.

No development, no evolution just.....the same guy he's been for YEARS, only without Bubba to handle the mic work for him. I do understand that. But compare him to Mr. Anderson and Rob Van Dam. Devon got himself in the best shape of his career. Though that's not the best way to defend Devon, comparing him to guys who seem to be phoning it in on a regular basis, though RVD has been starting to pick it up. I didn't know what other directions Devon could go though. My guess is he was given the TV title simply because of how over he was, and they might as well have the title on somebody who's over. Devon was generic, I will admit that, but he was still a hell of an asset to the company. I think his overness was one reason they put Garett Bischoff with him.
