I guess 24/7 rules apply to this thread since I am brain dead to post something else.

Didn't russo created a match where every wrestler has to count their own pins?

Didn't russo created a match where every wrestler has to count their own pins? Not quite. There was an episode of Thunder (which, the Interwebs tell me, was on May 3, 2000) where those were the rules for all the matches. I forget why, but I'm pretty sure the reason was "because Russo".

I mean, he'd punch the guy, the guy wouldf fall and the ref would count a pin while Nash was fighting with someone else 8 feet away.

Because Russo declared that night New York Rules -- no rules or referees.......yep

In the old days of the Royal Rumble, if you didn't show up prior to the clock starting of the next entrant, you were disqualified. This was used in 1991 when Macho Man didn't show up after attacking Warrior in his title defense. The rumble rules are a mess these days, the one I hated was Finlay getting disqualified.

That rule's actually been in place a few times, but only caused a disqualification once. The announcers did a poor job of explaining it, although JR did briefly mention the real reason. Finlay was disqualified for jumping the gun and entering the ring before it was his turn to do so, not for using a weapon. This rule was actually enforced once before in 2001 when Al Snow, who was number 8, pulled Raven out of the ring and started attacking him with weapons before it was his turn to come out. When Raven rolled back into the ring, the referees held Al Snow back and refused to let him in the ring. Once the clock hit 0, Snow was allowed to enter the ring.

"Province of Quebec rules" (titles change hands on a disqualification...they've used the rule, but not with the same name) On a Superstars match in October 1993, the referee disqualified The Quebecers because they kept pinning their opponents (Mike Davis and Jerry Seavey) and then picking them back up before the referee could make the three-count. I've never seen that before or since. Some of the smaller territories would DQ a wrestler for this. Usually it's part of an angle with Wrestler A beating up a jobber in a match, constantly pull him up and either he gets DQed or Wrestler B (the guy feuding with Wrestler A) runs to the ring to chase Wrestler A out of the ring.
