I was looking at the roster for the other thread of who will the face of the company in 5-10 years, and that got me looking at the Divas and it made me wonder not who will be the face of the division, but if any would even still be around in 2017. It's no secret that Divas have a shorter shelf life in the WWE, and if it is true that Triple H isn't interested in Divas wrestling that life may be even shorter.
Who do you guys think will still be around 5 years from now. AJ would be the best bet, but even she will be 30 years old by then.
Here are the ages the current divas will be in 2017:
Alicia Fox-31, Beth-37, Eve-33, Kaitlyn-31, Kelly-30, Layla-40, Nattie-35, Tamina-39, Aksana-35, Cameron-30, Naomi-30, Rosa-38
If they let Naomi start wrestling again, I can see her still being around, but really no one else other than she and AJ.
What do you guys think

Eve will probably still be around. They love her for media and stuff so they'll try their best to keep her around. She, along with AJ, are the only ones I can see still being around in 5 years. The only other possibilities for me are Naomi and Kaitlyn, and that entirely depends on whether or not WWE wants to use them.

Eve will probably still be around. They love her for media and stuff so they'll try their best to keep her around. She, along with AJ, are the only ones I can see still being around in 5 years. But with Eve getting engaged recently, she may want to start a family. So she could be gone in 5 years. They'll probably try to keep a working relationship going with her, because she's their PR Diva, and you never hear about bad fan encounters with her. Not counting the FCW/NXT Divas, Kaitlyn and AJ are the best bets to still be around 5 years from now. Kelly's eliminated because she'll move into more modeling, and showing up in direct to DVD/limited release movies.

AJ is the safe bet. I'd put Eve in there with how much she does and how much Vince is said to like her but as was said, with her getting married the possibility she wants to start a family is out there. Kaitlyn and Alicia are possibilities but long shots I think. The rest is be shocked to see in WWE this time next year really.

AJ and Kaitlyn will be the only ones. Honestly maybe not Kaitlyn.
I see the division being dominated by AJ and Paige for the next 5 years. They'll be the new Trish and Lita.

Divas don't tend to have that long a career...I actually don't think any of those will be with the company come 2017. AJ an outside bet.
It's sadly true that older Divas almost never get the kind of longevity male wrestlers do, as there's so much emphasis on youthful looks. Also that some do it to make the most of those looks and aren't at heart really that interested in the business, so will look to get out within a few years anyway.

AJ, Kaitlyn, and Eve are honestly the only ones from the main roster I'd actually like to see stick around.

Either Cameron or Naomi will probably be around.
In five years Trish Stratus will be 41. Tara is in TNA and working every week at that age. Who knows what could happen?

Natalya will still be around as long as she's fine with being a jobber.

AJ, I definitely see, given how much this has always been her goal. I imagine she'll stick with it so long as they'll have her, until she's ready to step down. Aside from that, not very many of them at all. Thinking back to 2007, the only current divas I remember being around were Beth, Layla, and Kelly. Now, if the rash of women from the indies that have been hired shows the beginnings of a trend, perhaps we'll see a change in the retention rate.

Probably AJ, Paige, Emma and Skyler Moon. Apart from Skyler, who may be gone already, I think this is pretty close.

I see the division being dominated by AJ and Paige for the next 5 years. They'll be the new Trish and Lita. I'll agree with that, Paige is really good now and is only 20 so if she continues to improve she'll be amazing. Of course similar things have been said about others than never took that next step.

In 2006 how many would have chosen Kelly and Layla to last longer than say Mickie James? That being said, there seems to be a clear 6-7 year window for just about any diva, regardless of overness or skill. If they don't fire you, the ones that do last that long tend to leave on their own to do other things, because there's only so much you can do as a diva for that long. Heel title run, face title run, storyline with Male superstars, then what?
So with that being said I'm going to say any diva who's already been in WWE for 4+ years will be gone, Eve included. I think she'll probably leave on her own terms in 2-3 years.
Not counting any developmental divas. Too many variables to consider, no matter how good people say a few of them are randomly disappearing off the NXT page wouldn't surprise me.
So that leaves the 4 from NXT season 3, Tamina and Cameron. Don't see Tamina, Cameron, or Aksana lasting that long.
So that just leaves AJ, Kaitlyn, and Naomi as divas I can see still being here. Although I'm waiting to see how they handle Naomi post Brodus.

Natalya will still be around as long as she's fine with being a jobber. Agreed. And if her current attitude means anything, she will be fine with just being a jobber in the WWE. She honestly seems happier working for WWE than just about any other person on the roster. I would imagine that when her in-ring career is done, she'll start to train future Divas in FCW/NXT/Whatever It's Called in 5 Years. Basically I really doubt Natalya would ever leave WWE by her own choice; it would be them wishing her well in her future endeavors. It's also surprising how some of the current Divas in WWE are quickly approaching age 40 considering that Sunny/Tammy Sytch is only 39 years old this year.

Don't count on it. Just as easily as they come they can go. AJ and Eve can be on top of the world right now and be gone in a year. That's just the way the division goes.
