I'm going to second Gangnam Style, which to me is just another generic, crappy K-pop song Are you aware of the meaning/somewhat satire behind it? I know very well what it's about. It's still a crappy K-pop song.

I don't hate Tumblr per-say, but those looping gifs that are about 2-3 seconds long annoy the bejeesus out of me! Like, there's a user here who has one of Jennifer Lawrence half-smiling. No context, just...Jennifer Lawrence half-smiling. She's easy on the eyes and all, but it bugs me. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Even worse are gifs with subtitles, mostly because the lip movements don't match up with the words 90% of the time.

Hate is probably a strong word, since I will eat it, but I think that steak is the worst way to prepare a piece of beef. There are so many ways that I like it a lot more than just grilling it and plopping it on a plate. Steak is not a way to prepare a piece of beef. Steak is a piece of beef.

Call of Duty and other FPS titles, and other games that largely depend on online multiplayer. I hate them and don't see the appeal.

Nirvana. To me they were a good drummer and bass player and a talentless hack on guitar and vocals.

Add me to the "hate is a strong word" camp. No one on this thread hates what they listed. They dislike them, maybe even heavily, but none of them hates.
So what do I especially dislike, pop culture-wise? Here are a few off the top of my head:
Big Bang Theory - Blackface for nerds.
Friends - Never once laughed at it. Populist drivel from beginning to end. I just don't understand its enduring popularity.
The term "gamer" - Video games are not the only type of games that exist; there are also board games, card games, miniatures games, and role playing games, and more besides. These are what I grew up associating with the term "gamer," but the truth is that the original context of "gamer" was that of a gambler, hence "gaming laws" having nothing to do with Mario, Magic, or D&D. I make an effort to refer to "gamers" by their specific type; I primarily am a role playing gamer (or just RPGer) and I am a minor card gamer, board gamer, and video gamer. So much more specific, so much less presumptuous.
Joss Whedon - More specifically, he has some of the most smug, obnoxious fanboys/girls. Nothing I've ever seen by him was great, just merely good at best. Highly overrated, if perhaps by a very vocal minority.
Justin Bieber/Twilight "Hate" - Just shut up about it and move on to something that does interest you. I don't like the Justin Bieber I've heard, I've never read nor seen anything Twilight but it sounds bad, and do you know what I do? I don't listen, watch, or read anything related to them.

Dragonball Z- It’salways looked lame to me. Awful character designs, awful characters in general, cheesey animation and the few episodes I tried to watch just seemed padded out with crap that could be cut.
Zombies- yawn... way overused now. There are hundreds of mythical creatures and monsters far more interesting and far more threatening than zombies.
The Inbetweeners - Tried watching it, just didn't find it funny.
Little Britain Tried watching it a few times. It's like they repeat the same lame joke over just in a different setting. It’s awful, although admittedly when I've seen David Walliams on shows outside of Little Britain he actually comes across as a genuinely funny bloke so there is some talent there. The other guy sucks though.
Backpacking and backpackers in general - I could never backpack. My shoulders start hurting me after the 20 minute walk to the MRT station just carrying a laptop so walking across an entire continent carrying a ridiculously sized backpack doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest. As for backpackers, all the ones I’ve come across have been so annoying. I've spoke to a few whilst in Taiwan (admittedly there aren't exactly that many visiting here )and they claim to "come here to get away from the usual tourists" Newsflash, you are a tourist. You follow routes laid out for you in lonely planet, go to places designed to cater for backpackers and are visiting foreign countries for a limited time that isn't work or business related. You are a tourist, get over it. Also, I hate the huge bags they carry in crowded MRT stations where everytime they turn around they end up bashing into other people and don't say sorry. Also, this happened when I was working in Sri Lanka, I often saw backpackers haggling over what essentially amounted to a couple of pence with street traders, market owners and cafe shop owners. Sri Lanka is a poor country, stop been such a tight arsed bastard and give them the ten freaking pence you're haggling over. You can afford it. Worse example was a girl I came across trying to book a minicab for herself and 6 others. She was trying to reduce the overall price by 300 rupees which works out at about $2.20. Split between 7 people that's like 30 cents each or something daft. A mere pittance yet a lot of money for the poor cab driver trying to make a living. AND SHE WAS STILL FREAKING HAGGLING!!! Sadly I hear about the same thing happening with lots of backpackers, haggling like crazy to save the equivalent of ten pence from some poor trader selling hand-made wares or food that is already dirt cheap as it is. Yeah... this didn't mean to become a rant lol.
Rage Against the Machine - They've always come across as pretty bad to me. Mediocre musicians and an awful vocalist.
Metallica - A few good songs... but then a bunch of trash. Never saw the appeal.
"Go get me Jared from subway" - Never got what was so funny about this. It just came across as lame to me yet people go on like it's the crowning moment of funny for the WWE.
Subway - Overpriced, average-at-best food. Don't get the appeal. You get much nicer sandwiches at other, smaller cafes and restaurants.

I don't know. I don't really hate anything "Popular" I kinda just mind my own business. In fact, I'm so out of touch, I thought I was the only one who listened to mumford and sons in Florida. Let's see, instagram filters, I dislike filters on any photo, but everyone wants to be a photographer now and days.

Was just reminded of another thing I dislike:
Archer - A bunch of insufferable assholes and bitches incessantly cursing, shouting, and whining at each other for half an hour. I Just. Don't. Get it.

Haruka/Sailor Uranus: I don't care for tomboys in general... And the stunt she and Michiru pulled in Stars (Killing Sailor Saturn ie: their Daughter) should have been unforgiveable. At least Michiru is attractive to me, so I'm more lenient on her... Not Haruka.
Fruits Basket: Idiotic premise, with characters I found unlikeable, and pairings I hated.
Gundam AGE: Flit is a genocidal Madman for 75% of the series, and Kio is an idiotic pacifist who makes Kira GD Yamato look like Rambo by comparison.

Are you aware of the meaning/somewhat satire behind it? I know very well what it's about. It's still a crappy K-pop song. It's the same reason I don't like Lonely Island. Their lyrics are quite funny in a parody kind of way, but the music they back it with is literally exactly like the music they're parodying - so I never want to listen to it.

Big Bang Theory/Two Broke Girls/Two and a Half Men- I could keep going with CBS shows, but these are all unsufferable, dreadful, stupid, lazy comedies.
Batman '89- I actually like Returns in a sense because the chemistry between Pfeiffer/Keaton is really nice and the movie is actually about BATMAN. This movie is about The Joker, every little thing is about him. The Joker doesn't really give a damn about Batman for most of the movie, which is a beyond awful representation of their relationship. Basinger is awful, Arliss is awful, Nicholson is fine but nothing special, and Keaton was much better in Returns.
Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones- Would be getting into spoilers if I spoke too much about him, but what a lousy character.
Walking Dead- I don't necessarily hate the show, but I find it amusing that so many people say how boring Mad Men is and how it's this slow moving show, but more stuff happens in 2 weeks in Mad Men than in an entire season of Walking Dead. The show largely has some hideously awful characters (Lori, Carl, Carol), some incredibly pointless characters (T-Dog), and random character shifts that makes absolutely no sense.
Flip-flops- Uncomfortable as all hell to me.
Fake Tanning- Natural color is far more attractive and doesn't make you look like an absolute goon (this goes for both sexes).
Auction shows- I just don't understand the entertainment in them, and they just feel so awkward and unnatural

I don't /hate/ it, but the appeal was very limited for me. At first, it was an awesome idea: JonTron and EgoRaptor playing games together! As well, it is actually funny at times. However, the fact that there is one every day that is at least 10 minutes long, and sometimes has them not saying anything particularly funny, is daunting to keep up with. I unsubscribed a couple of weeks later because I just did not care anymore. I also second Big Bang Theory.

These days I only watch if it's a game I have an interest in or some knowledge of.
