When I saw Alberto Del Boring and Sheamus in the same ring for the 3493493th time I just s witched to MNF and didn't bother switching back for some time.
All the controversy surrounding the game didn't help. Most of it wasn't till RAW was over, but there was plenty during the game.

And Raw has to compete with Bears/Cowboys next week too. The most appealing MNF game of the season so far.
Plus the casuals will be tuning into see just how horrific the replacement refs are with all the controversy surrounding them.
Basically, Raws rating could be ugly next week.

2.7...is this the lowest rating since the 90s?
EDIT: Apparently not, but it's definitely among the lowest numbers they've had in recent times.

They went up against one of the highest viewed MNF games in recent history. In fact it was one of the highest rated ESPN broadcasts ever.

So if it's a 2.7 rating in January, what would be the excuse then? It's like I've said in the past, it just seems like there's a built in excuse every week for the rating being low.

If there's a dramatic drop-off like this, there's usually a reason. The NFL game did huge ratings, no doubt taking a huge chunk out of WWE viewership.

To me it doesn't seem like a one time exception drop off as much as the continuation of a trend in ratings decline that has been happening since the three hour Raw tedium took root.

Haven't ratings been on a downward trend about a week or two after the RAW 1000 show anyway? Every week MNF is going to get monster ratings. NFL is a juggernaut. At this point, MAYBE 4 million viewers is just what WWE gets nowadays.

Amazing the finish of the game and all the buzz on social media about the officials lead to 6.46M viewers for SportsCenter making it the highest rated episode ever over the 50,000+ first run editions.

That third hour was pretty much a pit of despair again. They might as well tell everyone to come back at 10:55 and watch the final segment, but first, here's Burn Notice! When the Funkasaurus's entrance started around 10:40 est...that was a deflating moment. It usually is anyway, but it's not as bad in the first hour. They really need to keep the last hour of the show hot for more of a payoff for watching the whole show.

Raw should run from 8-10 ET, and have three hour shows one a month the night after PPV's.

Not a single hour reached four million viewers. That doesn't sound good. Next, you are going to tell me that they will make Raw 24/7 The rating is really not good.

In the segment-by-segment, they opened with the second strongest segment of the show, with the Paul Heyman, C.M. Punk, Brad Maddox and A.J. segment at 2.99. Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler lost 262,000 viewers. Santino Marella & Zack Ryder vs. Titus O’Neil & Darren Young lost 295,000 viewers to a 2.59 quarter and that was still in the first hour so it wasn’t burnout. The Mick Foley/C.M. Punk segment at 9 p.m. gained 877,000 viewers which is one of the best growth segments in weeks and did a 3.22 quarter. Miz vs. Ryback and the Harry Met Sally segment in the diner lost 533,000 viewers. Wade Barrett vs. Tyson Kidd and the Jerry Lawler interview stayed even. I’d suggest that’s probably a combo of a big loss for Barrett vs. Kidd and a big gain back for the Lawler promo but don’t have that broken down. Alberto Del Rio & David Otunga & Ricardo Rodriguez vs. Sheamus & Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara lost 129,000 viewers. That was at the 10 p.m. mark and did a 2.75 quarter, so the three hour show has really done a number on people tuning in at 10 p.m. The third Bryan & Kane segment and the attack on Bryan & Kane by Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow lost 412,000 viewers and did a 2.45 quarter. They probably were going down anyway at that point given it’s a three hour show, but three segments of that was one too many at best and that’s among the worst Raw quarters in 15 years. Well, until the quarter with Layla & Alicia Fox vs. Beth Phoenix & Eve Torres and Brodus Clay vs. Tensai, which lost 34,000 viewers and did a 2.43. The final segment with John Cena, C.M. Punk and Paul Heyman gained 428,000 viewers to a 2.74, which obviously is a terrible overrun and the growth wasn’t good for that segment.
