Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Tanahashi/Suzuki was one of the greatest matches he's ever seen. That's a certain *****. WOW. Just bought it, have to find time in the next couple of days to see it.

It was indeed an awesome match. The drama was off the charts, with Tanahashi playing the babyface champion overcoming the odds, and Suzuki heeling it up. Fantastic match. Is it really getting a 5 Star rating? If so, man, I feel even luckier to have had the chance to witness a Meltzer-rated ***** match live and in person. Something I can point to and be proud of for a long time.
Imo, the other great match on this card ended up being Okada vs. Anderson for the No. 1 contendership. Fantastic workrate by both guys involved.
Anyone know if this event is going to come out on DVD in the future? I like to collect DVDs of wrestling shows I've been to as much as possible, and if possible, this one is a definite keeper.

If nothing else, via their Toukon Shop (either in Tokyo or via Internet). So, you being in Japan it's gotta be a bit easier

Matter of fact, if this gets a Blu Ray release, it will be my first wrestling purchase for the format.

Tana/MiSu was not quite ***** for me, but what it ended up being was one of the more unique matches I've seen in a long time. Not one pin attempt until the High Fly Flow right at the end. But inbetween that was lots of submission work and attacks of body parts that built up as the match went on. And it worked on arguably New Japan's biggest stage of modern times.
Also a major fan of Okada/Anderson, Nakamura/Goto and Ibushi/Low Ki, and I liked the junior tag too. Just beats out All Japan from March 20th as Show of the Year so far.

Man that main event was fun to watch. I like Suzuki's style so it worked big time for me. It was in the same vein of Vader/Flair and HBK/Mankind in that the baybface was facing an opponent that forced them out of their element.
