Why would it be Punk. Hey Vince, I'm the champion, and the centerpiece of your show, so let me say how out of touch you are with what the people want? What sense does that make. It's like a QB going to the coach, he coach, our QB play sucks, let's make a change? If it's true, which I doubt, probably a guy like Ross or JBL who could live without the gig.

It was HHH. During Vince's nap he stood closed to him and whispered
'Are you ready?' to try and subliminally encourage him to agree to a DX reunion.

I can just see it. Yoshi goes on a long, well-rehearsed and well-thought out rant in English, clearly explaining his grievances to Vince. Vince pulls back his eyelids, before folding his hands, bowing, and saying "INDEEEEEED!"

Just because he's a top guy, doesn't mean he doesn't have complaints about the show. Punk seems to be the kind of guy that would always have something to say to his boss.

To be frank, if Punk 'punked' McMahon, given how ratings have gone lately he'd have been quite likely to bitchslap him down. It isn't as if anyone on the roster, Cena aside, is coming at it from a position of strength. Lecturing the boss when you've no actual substantive track record of being a draw yourself, with the greatest of respect to Punk, isn't the most wise of ideas. He has after all been the figurehead of the product recently.

If it was Punk that had a word with Vince, those words weren't necessarily, "Push me harder".

It's either someone really high up on the card who is bulletproof, or someone so far down the card they've given up hope anyway. I doubt it's someone in the middle.

If this is partially sourced from PWInsider, where the other half of the story come from? Out their ass? Rajah? The whole thing was on PWInsider's audio hotline from last night. Don't know where the "partial" term came from. My guess: Paul London. And he had that big goofy smile the whole time he was berating Vince

It's Sandow
And he wrote an extensive report on WWE demographics, rating patterns and merchandise sales figures, as relating to group psychology and the herd mentality.

Cena or HHH or POSSIBLY Taker. Imagining Undertaker saying "Hell in a handbasket" is cracking me up. I could imagine him saying the company i going to Death Valley in a Dodge though.

Punk does a great job, because many people confuse kayfabe pipe bomb Punk, with real life Punk. I think the key words were "talent" and not wrestler or performer.

Pipe bomb Punk and real life Punk aren't all that different. Punk's been reported to have had these kinds of talks with the higher up more than once. Hell, he even talks about a few of them on his DVD.

I don't believe the story one bit, but like I said, Punk is the guy at the driver's seat, why would he go off about the product?

It was Vince's reflection in a mirror.

And like I said before, just because you're the focus of the show, doesn't mean you don't have problems with it. Hell, anyone that saw the ratings breakdown would have to be in some serious denial to think the product is perfectly fine, regardless of where they are on the card.

I just think Punk would have too much to lose(back to the midcard) to upset the apple cart with Vince that way. The report is so ambiguous: Talent. Well, that could be anyone.
