So I've been thinking about a new tournament idea, and I think I found one that should be promising: a WWE Alumni tournament! Going back and researching, according to Wikipedia there have been 609 people released from the company for one reason or another. That's a staggering number. We obviously won't be including all of them because it would take forever to finish. So to start with I decided to weed out the following: Also taking that into account I took the remaining names and drew 256 at random. Those shall be the ones vying for the title. Here they areOur first round will be quick as it's only three votes needed to advance. So without further ado let us begin. ------------------------------------ Our first match is a battle of likely less notable names. Masa Saito (1981 - 1984) vs Scott Casey (1987 - 1990) Not exactly a barnburner to kick things off, but things should pick up soon.

Saito. Casey worked with Tully Blanchard for years and broke Booker T into the business but Saito and Ken Patera threw a boulder into a McDonald's, so he's wackier. Plus, the Saito suplex is a swank move.

And Masa Saito disposes of Casey with the Saito Suplex in a squash. No surprise there. Our next match should be more competitive as we have two fellows with lengthier stints. Carlito Carribean Cool (2003-2010) vs Chavo Guerrero (2001-2011)

Chavo. I've always liked him as an in ring guy.

Chavo accomplished more, in my view, so I vote for him.

And Chavo finally puts down Carlito after blocking a Backstabber and hitting him with the Frog Splash. A close one there. This next match between a seasoned veteran and a former Horseman probably happened at one point. Paul Roma (1985-1991) vs Jose Estrada Sr. (1978-1990)

Not to worry; Armando is entered as well. He'll be showing up later on.
And we're already up to 2-0 for Roma.

And Paul Roma polishes Estrada off with the Scoop Powerslam. Our next match is a battle of larger fellows. Amish Roadkill (2005-2008) vs Kamala (1984,1986-1988,1992-1993,2006)

Kamala. People know the gimmick and he was a good big man that wrestled for a long time. Roadkill was a damn good in ring guy but he never did much besides carry Doring in ECW and get turned into a generic fatman in WWE developmental.
