Today I learned the number one heel in the company isn't over. Guess that's why crowd wanted to push him down stairs and kill him last week.

I think you're hearing what you want and not what's there. And if you do year what's there you're interpreting it so it fits your belief.

Forget ratings and buy rates. Listen to the live crowd -- he only draws superficial heat when he goes for the cheap shots at the city, and it's not because he's so over as a face because the pop he does get is lukewarm. I thought it might be just this city or that city, a cold crowd here or there, but it's week after week. Face it, you can hear every word of his promos, he never has to wait for it to quiet down -- and don't tell me it's because they are hanging on every word. Listen to the initial reaction when Cena, or Vince McMahon for that matter, emerges. Crowd goes nuts. For Punk, it's not a lukewarm boo with a few scattered claps. Vickie can barely get a word out because she has real heat. Punk could go unplugged because the noise just isn't there -- he practically begged for it tonight ("Please, show some respect as I unveil my choice") and got just mild jeers. Brock could come out and blow his nose and the place would go wild. Even with Heyman, Punk isn't making people care. If he's the next big thing, he should be able to get heel reax. He did it with SES for a while, but he just isn't getting it down. Blame booking if you will, blame creative, blame anyone but Punk if you must, but the fact is he just isn't getting this over. The man tells it like it is.

Go to youtube and find CM Punk's Straight Edge Message and compare the crowd's reaction.

Go to youtube and find CM Punk's Straight Edge Message and compare the crowd's reaction. So what he is doing now is cheap heat, but when he said he was BETTER THAN YOU that wasn't. Oh and that promo is on SMACKDOWN, so canned boos is a huge possibility.

No, that was his character. "The Sacramento Kings suck" is cheap heat. But that's not my point. Look at the crowd reaction with that promo compared to tonight when he begged the crowd to boo and interrupt him and got about 10 seconds of 'meh' reaction. Bryan gets twice the crowd by repeating one word over and over.

TBH, this RAW crowd has been dead as f***!!!! They're like the polar opposite of last week. WWE needs to seriously avoid apathetic markets, starve them out, so when they do show up, it's HUGE.

Also I think its funny when heels berate the local sports team. Really don't understand why people get so offended by it around here.

The thing is, he got pretty damned loud cheers when he was face early in the year, even rivaling those of John Cena. Ballgame maggle.

This heel run isn't so over, no. The face run that preceded it, he was extremely over. They went so hard to get people to boo him that it's gone overkill to the point where fans just don't want to see him. The mocking the old guys/legends and beating them up, everyone in their hometown got messed with by Punk, Cena tears down any credibility his title reign ever had, it was just too blatant and sudden. This switch flipped and now he's CM Punk, biggest bastard in the universe, just as fans had really warmed up and accepted him as a big time babyface.
