As did Chuck Palahniuk for Fight Club. didn't Palahniuk say he actually PREFERRED the movie? I'd heard that somewhere. considering how often his works get butchered I can't say I blame Alan Moore either (LXG is a terrible hatchet job, but Constantine was terrible as well. even V for Vendetta, while an entertaining film, totally missed the point of the book). that said, considering LXG is him tinkering around with other people's characters (and look what he did to James Bond and Harry Potter) he's living in a glass house. Eh, Moore just likes to write fan fiction sometimes. He just doesn't call it that.

With Kings works its seems like he has/had an odd cycle: Great (or well received) horror novels/novellas/short stories, nearly always bad or sub-par films. Forgotten or "decent" dramatic tales, great adaptations. I enjoyed both the Shining film and book..even if they are pretty different.
You know who should be PISSED? Dean Koontz. Awful, AWFUL AWWWFUL adaptations.
Except Phantoms, Affleck was the BOMB in Phantoms yo. (It really isnt too terrible)
