A razor makes 0 sense in a match that had no potential blade spots. If he was rammed into a post maybe

A razor doesnt make any sense for that match unless he carries it in every match just in case he needs it.. but it is definatley a razor.

Wouldn't that be a serious choking hazard?

He's still trying to cut his teeth in the wrestling business.

Are there still people insisting it was a razor?
It was gum.

Looks like somebody threw it at him and it bounced off his body.

I know people think wrestlers are sociopaths but no way Punk had a razor blade in his mouth. It was gum. If someone blades in a match, they have it in their wrist tape or the ref is holding it in his pocket. Having something that sharp in your mouth while wrestling is a serious accident waiting to happen.

He's still trying to cut his teeth in the wrestling business. Punk still doesn't get metaphors. Also, why would he bring a blade to every match? Pretty sure they don't decide to blade at random.

Just watched the video. That is definitely gum. It does look a little thin, like he had been holding it in the side of his mouth prior to spitting it out, and it does bounce but gum will do that if it's hardened slightly because he hadn't been furiously chewing it prior to spitting it out, which is likely considering what just happened on the show.

Are there any reports on this yet from news sites? If it was a blade surely it has been picked up

Exactly, this isn't ECW or the territories in the 70s/80s. Blading is outlawed, and if Punk did decide to blade that was the wrong time to do it. I could understand if this was "Hell in a Cell" and he just got cold feet, but a random lumberjack Raw main event? Has anyone even gotten busted open in a lumberjack match, ever?

Having something that sharp in your mouth while wrestling is a serious accident waiting to happen. You tape it up and slide it under your tongue, leaving only a tiny area you'd use to cut untaped. They dont just throw it in their mouth whole.

Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan always kept their blades in their mouth. Watch the recent Hulk Hogan biography that aired on E! He shows it to the camera being in his mouth. When I wrestled I did the same. Just kept it in my lip like a dip of tobacco. It's not that hard to do and its alot easier to get to during the match instead of flubbing around with your wrist tape. Now I don't know for sure whether or not CM Punk had a blade just saying that if it was it wouldn't surprise me.

You guys are right, Punk was definitely carrying a blade in his mouth for a match that he didn't even blade in, especially with all the lumberjacks around, ensuring spots where he'd be flying out of the ring and could easily cut the inside of his mouth,
Right, definitely not gum. What sense would that make?

Missed Raw, & I can't tell from the screen shot, but wrestlers have been carrying razor blades in their mouth's since the very beginning. Surprised people don't know this/are astounded that it happens.
