Whatever the quality of the show was (I tuned out at 9 to watch the debate, didn't come back until the show was nearly over, so I have no idea), it was going to be low regardless. And that's not me making excuses for the product, that's just the reality. It applies only to last night and not to whatever the number is next week, or was the weeks before that.

That third hour is killing them. Only serious fans are going to stick around.

Football, Baseball playoffs, Presidential debate...
They should have expected a lower rating...

I'm surprised the 9pm hour gained viewers with the debate happening, to be honest.

I'm just shocked WWE didn't do some sort of mock debate or Romney vs. Obama in the ring.

I'm surprised the 9pm hour gained viewers with the debate happening, to be honest. The audiences really don't mesh. The football game and the baseball game are the real-backbreakers. Luckily for WWE, they both sucked ass, it probably would have been worse.

Wow, I went through history and last night was the first time Raw ever went up against a Presidential Debate. Why did they have that thing on a Monday? It was a thumb in the eye of America. From America.

The San Francisco Giants vs. St. Louis Cardinals baseball game did 8.11 million on FOX. We don't have a debate number, but it did more than 21 million viewers on cable alone based on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC. It also aired on three networks but those numbers are not available right now. It also did about 28.5 million viewers between the three networks that aired it.

If something gets 50 million viewers, it's going to take away from your own in one way or another.

Apparently Fox News had it's highest viewership ever in the channel's history for the debate, with 11.5 million viewers.
And overall there were 59 million debate viewers. That's the lowest of all the debates. Maybe they should panic instead...
Between baseball/football/debate that's 78 million viewers fwiw.

From the Wrestling Observer website:
" Raw rating was a 2.5, however it was the lowest rated non-holiday episode of Raw in more than 15 years, as it was a lower 2.5 (2.48 compared to 2.54) than the one on 10/1."

Anymore panic buttons to press, Vince?

Something to remember about this number, they could have drawn their usual 4 million and it'd be low simply because of the number of people watching cable TV last night thanks to the debate. That is why the viewership is the key and yeah it's down but it's still higher than the 10/1 which was a higher rating. The rating system sucks.

2.48... Anymore panic buttons to press, Vince? I think Vince should be more focused on trying to improve the show overall, instead of trying these temporary quick fixes to pop the ratings up.
