I'd be more confused. Not like he's going to beat Rock in January, so if he does win his streak ends fairly soon anyway.
You know they don't want to make Cena look worse than Ryback. It's gonna be punk rawk at rumble and Cena gets the torch passed at mania. The dumb part is Cena already has it

Nope. I'd be pleased to see them do the right thing and strike whilst the iron is hot.
I think we're getting Punk vs Rock either way at the Rumble, so they'll have to dig their way back out of giving Ryback the belt. Easiest way is a triple threat or 4-way title match so that Ryback doesn't need to be pinned.

I'd be cool with it.

I'd be interested enough to tune into RAW to see where they go with Ryback as champion, but I wouldn't be happy or angry. Just curious.

Not at all. Punk has no novelty anymore, as far as I'm concerned.

Almost anything would be better than Punk's boring title reign. The E really needs to start taking risks if they want attempt to grow their audience. Put the title on Ryback, if it doesn't work then have Punk take it back in a mini program that runs until the Rumble when the big players show back up. I'd say giving a guy that looks like Punk a 1 year reign is far more of a risk than giving a guy like Ryback the title.

I'm more concerned for the finish of the match than if Ryback wins, if the finish works so it makes it great then yeah I won't mind and like both Punk and Ryback.

I'd be pretty annoyed, but I would love to see the reactions from others.

I've been on the not watching anymore brink for a little bit. If Ryback wins the belt, that won't make me stop watching, but the follow up just might.

I'd be a happy camper if he beat Punk. I'm so sick to death of that guy it's not funny. CM Punk is not entertaining or even interesting in the slightest bit to me.
I wouldn't be upset if I never seen him on my screen ever again. I'm sorry but I don't get what everyone sees in him. I watch his matches...I see nothing. I listen to his promos...I hear nothing that makes me as a viewer care.

It's not my ideal outcome but I wouldn't be upset, if anything it's probably the most interesting outcome that could come from their match.

It depends on what they do with it. I'm interested in the result, it could be cool to have Ryback win, but at the same time I can't help but feel they're just gonna have Punk win it back in time for the Rock in the typical WWE "why did you even bother then?" fashion.

I just don't know how to feel. Not everybody needs to be Goldberg. Though I would laugh if he messes up his finisher again.

An interesting thing: the most dedicated Punk fans feel like he could have been the next SCSA (I don't share this view) if WWE had "properly handled" him after the pipe-bomb promo. I never felt like or saw the kind of reactions that made me think the "universe" was ready to embrace him as the next big thing, but that's what Punk supporters have expressed.
In other words, they feel WWE didn't strike when the iron was hot and didn't take advantage of his sudden over-ness.
And now Ryback has the sudden over-ness and he is the hottest thing going, practically out of nowhere, thanks to a really well-played instant push (which happened to come about from Cena's injury).
But the dedicated Punk fans now don't want WWE to push the bottom and go with the hot guy and see where it can take things. Seems, as much as they like their guy, they now think WWE should not listen to what the crowds are telling them, that they should not do something new and fresh and try to make a star -- or maybe even a mega-star.
I don't think another few months of Punk as heel champ to do the everyone-in-the-world-can-see-it-coming-from-a-million-miles-away Punk-Rock drop-the-strap-at-the-RR thing is the way to go. It's stale and there is absolutely no drama to it -- we all know what happens if Punk goes into the RR as champ. There's no magic in a 365-day title reign and those who have cried for a long title run by someone other than a Cena-HHH-Orton already post-peak guy should be thrilled that Punk has gotten the chance to carry things this long. But it's played out and time, as VKM used to like to say, to shake things up.
In the final analysis, Punk is what he and his character detest -- he is the establishment, he is the standard, he is the stale champ with a predictable storyline. If he retains, you can tune out until after the RR because you already know where things are going just as surely as you ever knew Cena was going to go Superman to win a feud.
Everyone seems to like to compare Ryback to Goldberg -- the win streak, the muscles, the squashes -- but I liken him more to Ultimate Warrior. Limited? Probably. But lots of limited guys have gotten over and become long-term main eventers, most notably Warrior. And Ryback brings the same kind of energy to matches as Warrior and uses that energy and his intensity to get the crowd behind him.
i hope WWE will do the brave thing. The IWC seems to be put out with status quo, and a Ryback-out-of-nowhere championship is definitely not status quo. Think about it: when is the last time WWE went into a PPV where there was this much discussion and interest in how the main event will end? That's what wrestling needs, not more of the same-old, same-old.

Yes I've been working for the past couple weeks on a long document I'm ready to mail to the WWE. It's up to 272 pages so far. Besides the complaint I've also got some great ideas about ending the brand split, pushing Daniel Bryan, and 20 pages are just me pasting OMGWORKRATE repeatedly.

Nope, and I'm saying this as a fan of Punk's. Ryback winning the title could create a very interesting discussion point all over social media and on these very forums.

I will be very happy if Ryback won.
It will show that WWE still has some balls and wants to change things up every once in a while. Going with the predictable route with Rock ending Punk's reign at Royal Rumble is not going be entertaining, just predictable and useless. Rock DOES NOT need the WWE Championship and we all know what's going to happen at Wrestlemania 29, it'll be Rock/Cena 2 and Cena will win. Basically the next few months are already out there for everyone to see.
Give Ryback the belt, take the risk, and shake things up. If it doesn't work, give it back to Punk. But nothing is going to happen unless they stay to the status quo and keep Punk the belt until Royal Rumble to give it to The Rock.
They have a potential star right now in Ryback, give him the WWE Championship and strike while the iron is hot.

Seems, as much as they like their guy, they now think WWE should not listen to what the crowds are telling them, that they should not do something new and fresh and try to make a star -- or maybe even a mega-star. There's a HUGE difference in the way we got there, though. Punk made a seemingly random feud seem massive, and became the most talked about thing in wrestling in a long time. But this wasn't his first big push, he had been in the company for 5 years by that point, had main-evented a Summerslam with Jeff Hardy, and was a huge part of the company. Punk winning at MITB was what people saw as one of the best talents in the company finally maybe being THE GUY in the company, after being shoved down despite an incredible feud with Jeff in 2009. I know Ryback has been in developmental for a long ass time, but he's barely done anything noteworthy on the actual roster. He was the fourth or fifth wheel in Nexus (behind Wade, Gabriel, maybe Otunga and Slater), and since he's come back after 'Mania, he's spent months basically just beating up random people without a point. His biggest PPV match (since the only other one had was with Nexus) is a handicap match against Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins. It just feels so unnatural, unlike the push with Punk, who was already a multiple time World champ, an IC champ, a tag champ, an ECW champ, a two time MITB winner, and was a huge part of the show. And again, he has really done nothing in this feud on TV (since House Shows are non cannon). He has said three words, he hasn't wrestled a lengthy match (he's squashed Tensai and Ziggler here and there, but that hardly counts), and generally just beats up Punk every week. Where do we go from here with him as champ? He has only looked weak one time, and that's when Swagger got the drop on him and kicked his ass for a little bit.
