I went to about 5 different stores to find the boix set and they all told me the same thing "Its not out until Nov. 15" so I asked about the Jake Roberts DVD they told me the 15th...I asked when the Hitman DVD was in they said Dec. I AM PISSED!

Just got it. Both packages arrived at the same time. I'm keeping the amazon.com box. It's easier to return the fye one, besides they packaged it like crap. So the amazon one has less dents.
BTW....Some are flippers. Which sucks and there is no art work on the discs. WM21 totally comes concealed at the top. Not a fan of the way it's packaged...but whatever, i have the 3 disc mania set anyway.

I couldn't find the set anywhere around here, so I had to buy the individual sets. The only one I couldn't find was 1-5. If you can get over the numerous edit jobs, it's a great set.

The set is sitting in front of me as I speak. I was supposed to get it from christmas but it turns out my dad entered a contest for it on wwe.com and won. I'm a very happy person today with getting the set and finding out that I am scheduled for my first job interview.

I have V1 and V2 i finished V! today. I was fast forwarding and basically watching entrances and match finishes and promos. If i watched the whole thing i would still be watching it. ill get around to watching the shows later. Quality is pretty good. occasionally there are some wierd things that pop up on screen. Like transparent green blobs. Overall im satisfied.

Like transparent green blobs. Overall im satisfied. Those are camera flashes. It has to do with the film quality of the older releases and it being transferred onto video. As years went on. The quality got better and less and less flash bulb shadows are visable. I just watched mania 8 & 10. Nothing to report as far as edits go. You do hear over dubs sometimes for example howard finkel announcing a match. That was just one or two times.

This is what I found at another message board. I found it especially useful.
So anyways, most of you already know the good. The complete shows. So, if you pay that much for all 21 shows, that's a good deal in itself, since it breaks down to the ballpark of roughly $10 a show. Not a bad price for 3 hours or more apiece.
Anyways, the details, some positive, some negative. Some may consider this major. Some minor. But everyone deserves to know. So here goes.
- Packaging. Check out the Shopzone ad for the packaging itself. You see that one disc under the top cover? That's the WM21 disc. See, the four sets are 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, and 16-20. 21 is there. It's apparently secure in there, too, but the disc is open and unprotected. I don't know if it contacts the other sets, but if it does, there's a chance of major or minor scratching. Maybe they know what they're doing but it is something to take note of.
- Each disc is dual-sided, although some don't have data on both sides, depending on the length of the show. From what I hear, 4-7 and 16-21 have data on both sides.
- Jesse Ventura's commentary has not been edited out, unlike other DVD releases they've done. l
- WM 15-18, as you may expect, has some scratch logo blurring. WM14 may as well. Honestly, I've accepted that a long time ago and moved on.
- Music: This may be the biggest downside of them all, as there's major editing here, and you can think Vince McMahon for not wanting to pay Jimmy Hart royalties, because he owns a lot of the past music. On top of that, there's also Vince not wanting to pay major recording artists for the right to release their music on these sets again. So, as a rundown, here's what I've heard:
-- Someone watched WM13, and when the Godwinns/Hillbilly Jim came out, it was some random barnyard music, instead of Hillbilly's old "Country Boy" theme, that's owned by Hart.
-- WM17 has Limp Bizkit's My Way taken out, which is a shame, because it really helped build to the Austin-Rock main event. Thank God I have the original copy of the show.
-- OTOH, WM19 has Limp Bizkit's stuff in there, as they performed live twice, both for the theme and Undertaker's entrance. Reason being is WWE is allowed to use live stuff and not recorded stuff unless they pay royalties.
-- WM21 theme is taken out, which is odd, since the show just happened this year.
-- Demolition's theme has been edited. Again, Jimmy Hart owns it.
-- Dusty Rhodes' theme has been editied.
-- Hulk Hogan's theme has been edited. You still get Real American on the shows when Real American was there. But Eye Of The Tiger is taken out of WM1 (replaced with RA I imagine) and WM19 doesn't have the Hendrix theme.
-- Speaking of Hogan, at WM5, they manage to take out when he says "WWF" and replace with a Hogan soundbite of "WWE" (not music-related, but wanted to mention that now).
-- Big Boss Man's "Hard Times" theme is owned by Jimmy Hart. They've changed it to when he was with the Corporation. Kinda weird, because Hard Times is face music and his Corporation music is anything but face music.
-- Jimmy Snuka's theme is also edited.
- Finally, there's a couple videotape errors being mentioned, at WM7 during Jake Roberts' entrance (conversion problem) and a more noticeable one at WM9 during the Hogan/Beefcake vs. DiBiase/IRS match. It goes from Beefcake crawling away from IRS to make a tag, and instantly, we get Hogan punching DiBiase. They have editing problems in all the sets, but just during intermission. WM9 is the most glaring during that match.
Hope this info is useful and, even more, hope it doesn't piss too many people off.

What...you mean we have Hogan talking about the WWE at WM 5???
Weird.

Funny thing is. I always knew they were gonna do something like that. Ya know...like a real intense warrior/hogan/demolition/etc promo from the 80's with them saying W...W...then an over dubbed voice saying E. Preferably a girl or young boy saying E for comedic purposes of course.
And what's up with vince not wanting to pay royalties to jimmy hart. I mean they have a decent relationship. I'm sure he'll cut them an affordable deal. Then again....i'm not writing the checks. So maybe it wasn't worth it.

Anybody know if Lawrence Taylor's theme is edited??? It was Salt n Pepa I believe.
Also, is the Huckster/Nacho Man in the set? I read a listing of the matches for WM12(I think thats when it was) and it wasn't there. But, they also said The Body's commentary wasn't going to be there, so IDK what to believe.

I walked into Best Buy on Tuesday and picked up the only copy they had. I watched Wrestlemania 6 last night, and I can say they did a truly good job of restoring the film quality.

I have no problem with whatever is edited. I only wish they completely edited out Limp Bizkit.

Ricky Steamboat is also edited. Remember the theme he used in both WWE and WCW. It is also used as the Chicago Bulls theme.

I believe they edited out the Eye of the Tiger theme off the old coliseum video version too. Not sure about the videos they put out in 1999.
