So wait ... the NXT Season 4 finalists were a disco dancer and a ballroom dancer?!

Uh, did i miss something? im lost as to what/who u guys are talking about? On Raw, a vignette for a new wrestler, the "Fandangoo" of the thread's name, aired. He's apparently a ballroom salsa dancer and played by former NXT regular Johnny Curtis.

This is the dumbest name they've ever come up with... Regardless of how good he is in ring, and how well he sells the gimmick, I suspect he'll have one match on SD or RAW and be banished to Superstars.

At least it isn't completely out of the realm of possibility that someone actually named their child Dolph Ziggler. If they just let the Fandangoo thing be a Dude Love/Cactus Jack/Mankind sort of deal where it's one of the "Faces of Johnny Curtis", it would be an acceptable medium.

First I thought of Fandango.
And then I thought of Fing Fang Foom.
And then I thought about a dragon selling movie tickets.
....what are we talking about again?

Dolph Ziggler at least sounds like a porn name. Fandangoo sounds like something a little kid would come up with.

At least it isn't completely out of the realm of possibility that someone actually named their child Dolph Ziggler. Ryback. I pretend that Ryback is the character's last name. I pretend that Skip Sheffield and Ryback are the same person, and that his given name is Sheffield Ryback. He simply goes by his last name, much like Goldberg.

He simply goes by his last name, much like Goldberg. Then again, doesn't one of Steven Seagal's movies feature the man himself portraying a character with "Ryback" as his surname?

When did Malenko have a James Bond gimmick? Around 2000/01 I think. Is it THAT much dumber than Dolph Ziggler? I'm sure there was an interview with Ziggler, where he said creative first pitched the name Dolph Diggler then he suggested Ziggler. So I'd say Dolph Diggler edges it.

Watching that video, I think I get where this came from. Someone on Creative (or maybe even Vince or Stephanie) has been watching Dancing With The Stars. With the scruff, the shirtlessness, and the tight-looking pants, he bears a resemblance to one of the pros on there.

How can Fandangoo be an awful name when a guy named Ryback is walking around?

At least he is not generic. However, there is still the matter of only 14 more guys left on the roster that need a character or gimmick.
