Public Image Ltd put out Happy? back in 1987, kicking off with the first single... uh... "Seattle". PiL's next album, 9, came out in 1989 and started out with a song titled "Happy?"

Queens of the Stone Age album title Lullabies to Paralyze is actually taken from a a song on their previous record, Songs for the Deaf. The song is question would be Mosquito Song. "Title Track" means the song who shares the name with the album, not the song that contains the lyrics named after the album. The latter would be much easier to put together. Surely, Yellow Submarine counts. It was released on Revolver in 1966 and then for the Yellow Submarine soundtrack and film in 1968. Wait, wasn't "Yellow Submarinw" actually on the "Yellow Submarine" soundtrack? That means it's on the right album, as well as on an additional album. Yellow Submarine is a tricky one as it is technically on the right and wrong album, but since it debuted on the "wrong" album first I included it.

Here's an obscure one that kind of works. The band Steelheart released their self-titled album in 1990. 2 years later they came out with the follow-up album "Tangled In Reins" which contained the song "Steelheart".

Oasis had a greatest hits record called Stop The Clocks. But then when Noel broke the band up, on his first solo album, he put the song Stop The Clocks on as the last song.

Happened in reverse two times with the Beach Boys: -Shut down released 3/4/1963. Album Shut Down Vol 2. released 3/2/1964 -Surf's Up originally recorded around 12/66 and 1/67 but not released. Album Surf's Up released 11/8/1971. "Little Deuce Coupe" was also included on Surfer Girl, released a few weeks before the album Little Deuce Coupe although the album was something of a hastily thrown-together cash-in by Capitol.

Houses of the Holy from Zeppelin did not feature that song. It was on Physical Graffiti.
On the reverse, has anyone ever pulled of the hat trick that Bad Company did?
Name of the band: Bad Company Name of their first album: Bad Company Track from their first album: Bad Company

Typically it's the track that's the toughest part to pull off, mostly because most bands aren't arrogant enough to name a song after their band name. Imagine how much uncooler Nirvana would have been when they came out if they had a song called "Nirvana."
On the plus side the Bad Company trio does make for an awesome cheesy rock DJ intro. "Coming up, Bad Company with their hit Bad Company from their album Bad Company. Oh yeah!"

I'll be damned, they did it first (or at least before Bad Company)

Impaled had an album called Mondo Medicale. the following album Death After Life had a song called "Mondo Medicale" as the album opener, and the lyrics referenced other songs from that album as well.
the band are a loving tribute to Carcass so this was probably an intentional homage, because Carcass did it a couple times too.
