Nobody gives to charity without wanting publicity. If you can name anyone who is famous who does then you've just lost your own argument by virtue of the fact you know they gave. I'm all for charity and I think Mick talking about it is more raising awareness then it is back patting. But just to play devil's advocate. What about people who gave to charity and kept it quiet but other people talked about it? EX: Michael Jackson and Shawn Michaels. Or Bobby Orr who hated people knowing all the charity work he did? However, others talked about it. I mean, Orr in his day, not the work he does now.

I'm tired of Mick. I've been tired of Mick since his TNA run. Seeing him on Celebrity Wife Swap just makes me want him to stay home. Every time he comes on TV now, I respond "OK, what're you plugging and who're you bullying now?". The time he's on TV could just as easily go towards someone who could use it more.

He whinged alot about how WCW were trying to put WWF out of business and make people unemployed and families go hungry. I wonder if he felt the same when WCW went out of business.

This thread just hit a new low. At least everything else in here is rumoured. 'I bet he felt this way on this occasion. What an ass!'

Plus, this might be petty but I always found it awkward a guy his age constantly talking about the divas and posing in pictures with them. Dunno I just sense the jolly old Mick we see on TV isnt the same guy he is when cameras arent on him. You think that maybe, just maybe, some of the girls are friends with him? I just want to point out, that it IS possible for a guy to think a woman's as hot as all gets out, and be open about that while simply wanting to be no more than friends with her. I imagine that Foley is probably that way.

He whinged alot about how WCW were trying to put WWF out of business and make people unemployed and families go hungry. I wonder if he felt the same when WCW went out of business. In fairness to Mick here I think you are taking him out of context there. You are quoting something he said on the Monday Night Wars documentary, when he was talking about Eric Bischoff openly bragging every week on WCW Nitro that he was going to put WWE out of business. He said that Eric Bischoff was taking "the Godfather route" where "it's not personal it's just business," then added "if you are going to make me unemployed and put my family on the welfare line the you are damn right I am going to take it personally." In that context his statement is not in slightest bit hypocritical. WWE did not brag about the fact they were going to make WCW go bust, although obviously Vince did brag when he "bought his competition." The difference there was that Vince planned on keeping WCW as a separate entity, and to acquire WCW talent. Owing to Time Warner guaranteed contracts and complications like that it didn't work out and the Invasion angle was a disaster, but this does not change the fact that Bischoff had no such intention with WWF and was arrogantly proclaiming he would put them out of business on live television every week. Mick saying what he said in the documentary is spot on as far as I am concerned.

I never heard the rumors about him having an affair. Or that he is an asshole to fans. Can some put light to those rumors?

Or that he is an asshole to fans. Can some put light to those rumors? I can fully debunk that one. Have met Mick a few times, and he is so down to earth. Ended up shooting the breeze with him for about 10 minutes at a signing once. Another time, at a TNA show, he was the only guy that bothered to sign autographs for the fans. The rest of them just didn't give a shit.

Let's see, Out of shape, Not the best looking, needs help doing everyday tasks like putting on his own socks. Yet he has managed to keep this to himself for many years. And he got her before he had any money. I'd say he'd have to be a nice guy. Or maybe he has a huge p.......... aycheck? What? What did you think I was gonna say? <__<

Ever since his third book I've kind of lost interest in him. Him in TNA just annoyed me. If he truly ended the Ambrose angle like it is rumored he did, that's just incredibly stupid because worse has been said about him and his family in other angles.

So much hate. I hope Foley laughs at this thread whilst lounging in a tub full of money with his hot wife, all the while donating a hefty chunk of cash to charity.

Could someone explain about Foley and porn stars and the Divas? Mick is a friend of former pornstar/current indy wrestling manager Trina Michaels, and he's also friends with (and was a big fan of) 80's pornstar Christy Canyon. In his first book, he seemed borderline obsessed with 70's & 80's "MILF" porn star Kay Parker. But I've never heard about him having an affair with any of them. I think he dedicated almost a whole chapter to former Diva Melina in one of his books, and he came off as a bit creepy IMO. But I really don't remember anything specific.

I don't know anything about Mic personally.
As a WWE television character, he's been horrendous lately. His work with Edge was the last great thing he did. Everything after that has been cringeworthy.

Could have sworn there was a thread on this forum singing Foley‘s praises a few months ago.

If he truly ended the Ambrose angle like it is rumored he did, that's just incredibly stupid because worse has been said about him and his family in other angles. Just because he allowed his family to be used in angles in the past doesn't mean they're fair game in the present. People have the right to draw lines, and when they do "worse has been said before" is not a valid reason to cross that line.

Diddn't Foley write a blog post about the negativity in the 411mania comment section once?

Diddn't Foley write a blog post about the negativity in the 411mania comment section once? I remember him writing like a million word dissertation about how it was unfair for people to criticize his shitty TNA promos in 2010, and me being like man that's kinda thin skinned.
