So who is going to be the bigger star out of three? too early to tell, really. Ambrose is probably the best talker which can take you really far in WWE, but Rollins is the best worker of the 3, which also means more now than it did a couple years back. as for Rains, he's green but everyone starts that way. it may be a case of calling him up too quickly but you never know. they must see something in him if he was picked for this over someone as seasoned as Kassius Ohno.

Regarding their debut in helping Punk (supposedly). Punk's been dropping lines about how "young, hungry superstars who deserve a shot..." in his promos the past few months. Now, these lines have always come across as a heel excuse NOT to fight Cena again and a funny way to introduce Ryback, but maybe this is what they had in mind for him all along. The "CM" stands for Champion Mentor because giving starving young wrestlers an opportunity to succeed is a heel move I really hope that's not how WWE spins it because if they did they just added to the "Punk is right and WWE is run by sycophantic jerks" argument.

It'd be better to spin it as Heyman having that reasoning, and then Punk going all "No, Paul, I'm supposed to be champion FOREVER, you don't get to bring in someone who might dethrone me." I almost want things to get to the point where Punk pisses Heyman off so badly that Heyman says "You know, I think there's somebody close to me that you forgot about..." And then Brock shows up and destroys Punk at WM (assuming he's dropped the title before then). Partially because the idea of Heyman and Brock as one-night-only faces amuses me.

But if it isn't done right, it runs the risk of turning into Legacy 2.0, where the supposed "future stars" gain no benefit from being associated with the top guy.

When the top guy is a heel, he SHOULD be screwing the guys underneath him over. The difference is, you don't refuse to pull the trigger on turning them like they kept doing with Legacy.

this is 4 guys now who have helped Punk. my guess is he needed investors to start up his own ice cream company to make WWE Ice Cream bars. these guys will be his personal ice cream men once things are up and running.

They'll also be "hit-men" that will come after anyone who doesn't pay for their WWE Ice Cream bars.

But do four developmental/indy wrestlers, two of which aren't really all that famous, really make enough money to invest in a new business?

I'm going to miss Roman Reigns' weird "industrial jazz marching band" theme song.

Oh Legacy, the baby oil boys club was supposed to elevated Ted Jr, or so dirtsheets said back then. Then he came back...and nothing. Cody almost turned face, but they didn't want that, so basically the only thing those two got out of it was learning how to eat main event finishers and by complete accident make Randy Orton a badass face. I think that's my entire worry with this. That these guys will go the way of La Famila, New Nexus, and SES and do nothing but eat Brouge Kicks, AAs, and RKOs for the next year while barely looking credible in the slightest.

In your rush to try to make me look stupid, I think you misinterpreted my statement. I was saying that WWE never pulled the trigger on Legacy, and that they SHOULDN'T repeat that this time around.

The point I was making was that I remember people wanting Cody and Ted Jr to turn but that didn't happen and eventually the crowd just got behind Orton

Especially since it's going to come out that the Rock is paying off the Aces & Eights NXT Guys. Seriously, does it seem like WWE is cribbing a lot from TNA lately? Otunga and Otunga = Park, Park and Park Eve's new waving taunt = Madison Rayne's waving taunt Aces and 8s = Ambroco AJ/Cena = Claire Lynch Why can't they copy Christopher Daniels? And by copy I mean either actually clone and hire or hire the real one and have him win every match forever. Well, to be fair, Otunga was doing the lawyer stuff (including having a law firm) before Park "debuted". People were even accusing TNA of taking a shot at WWE with Park and "his firm" Until we know more about the new NXT guys and their motivation it's hard to say they are A8s like. Yeah WWE ripped off the Claire Lynch thing but TNA then went and ripped off WWE's version of it so how does that play out?

Yeah... as of now the only connection between A&8 and Ambrose, Rollins, and Roman are that tehy are a group of people that came in and attacked somebody. Aces and Eights are hardly the first group in history to do that. Furthermore, x number of months in we still only know 2 official members of Aces and Eights as they are basically a shadowy biker gang... while they already stated by name the 3 members of the NXT people as they made no attempt to conceal who they are.

Excited to see Ambrose and Rollins finally make it to the main roster but await the inevitable creative f*** up that sucks all the energy and newness from it.
