I read the SS summary, and honestly was like meh Nexus version 3.3. As such, I didn't bother tuning it. It looks like I wasn't alone.

The day after a PPV, ouch. After a PPV where three new people debuted, and CM Punk just hit one year as WWE Champion, and it did just less than average.

It's just too much. There's too much wrestling on all week, it's so much over exposure.
Raw, Main Event, Smackdown, Saturday Morning Slam, NXT, PPVs. Even if you only watch one, you are forced to recognise and respond to the events of the other shows through commentary/on-line reports/arena fan support
It's over-exposure, which is not kind to upper-mid card talent like ziggler, sin cara, r-truth, cody, sandow, bryan, kane, kofi, miz, sheamus (yep- no title = no wwe title), del rio. all those talents are in matches week in, week out and it's so so so dull seeing them on every show all the time using the same moves, saying the same thing and having the same standardised TV match ups across at least 3 TV shows across at least 3 hours a week that no wonder fans are jaded.
I'm not even using that^ to defend why Punk, Cena, Orton and Big Show are amazing and above the rest. Fans are probably burnt out by them as well.
It's too much wrestling, trying to protect too many superstars at the sake of too many others superstars in a broken system that isnt exicting and wont bring in new fans
*and if this was Raw we'd do a recap of what I just wrote now, which is awful

In a rarity, the highest rated segment of the entire show was the Ryback interview and Ryback vs. Tensai match which did a 2.91 quarter. Kofi Kingston vs. Wade Barrett lost 298,000 viewers. A Paul Heyman and C.M. Punk backstage interview plus Aksana vs. Kaitlyn lost 80,000 viewers. Brodus Clay vs. Antonio Cesaro and the John Cena Make a Wish segment gained 376,000 viewers. The segment with Vickie Guerrero, A.J. Lee, Cena where Dolph Ziggler attacked gained 195,000 viewers to a 2.85 quarter. I have to say I was shocked because 9 p.m. is usual growth and I thought this would be a big one, and that’s as low a 9 p.m. growth period as they’ve had. Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio 2/3 falls lost 122,000 viewers. Great Khali vs. Primo & Epico lost 186,000 viewers. The Miz vs. David Otunga gained 223,000 viewers which for those two has to be considered a success. Sheamus vs. Damien Sandow gained 105,000 viewers at 10 p.m. The A.J. and Dolph Ziggler locker room deal which ended with the Cena and Ziggler brawl lost 241,000 viewers. Not good at all considering the nature of that segment. Kane & Daniel Bryan vs. Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara lost 266,000 viewers to a 2.50 quarter. Airing clips of all the Cena angles on the show gained 101,000 viewers. The C.M. Punk 365th day in-ring celebration gained 419,000 viewers to a 2.87 overrun.

That's a pretty weak ending segment, since most overruns usually gain anything between 700k and 1 million viewers.

3 hours of RAW are such an awful concept. It's too much to watch live.

Ryback attempting to Shell Shock Tensai again = Ratings?
Apparently the overrun managed to crack the bottom 5 of worst rated overruns in the 1000+ episode history of Raw. Before this week the bottom 5 was:

This seems like a can't see the forest for the trees situation by Dave. It wasn't a big 9PM growth but the 8:45 segment rarely brings in 376K and all that was Cena since Brodus and Antonio aren't moving numbers.

Before this week the bottom 5 was: I know the whole "Punk is a crappy ratings draw" thing has already been said, but damn... Punk is the common denominator in all five bottom-ranked overruns. And now his landmark 365th day championship celebration is somewhere in there. I can't explain it, but there's something legitimately, laugh-out-loud funny about that.

The Miz is a ratings machine, when has otunga ever been in a positive rated segment. Miz and Otunga was one of four segments of the entire night to actually gain viewers (along with Punk's 365 celebration, Cena's "300th wish" segment and the continuation of Aprilgate) in what was otherwise a disappointing night. Not like that'll put a bullet in that argument anyway, you know, cause Miz. Speaking of, with Punk's segment at the end being one of only four to gain viewers, and being the one to gain the most by far, it's hard to say that CM Punk's the problem here. The whole night was bleeding viewers, and that low close was in addition to the 400,000+ viewers Punk brought back.

So the first segment was the highest rated segment of the show? LOL.
How can you blame anyone then, because obviously no one wanted to watch *anything* that took place after the start of the show.
