I was hoping Alex would get the nod as starter. Whichever team lands him next year is getting one helluva guy and a damn good qb. Not sure............Alex Smith took a while to bloom so it may a situation of he's in a perfect system right now........like Matt Cassel was in New England.

Not sure............Alex Smith took a while to bloom so it may a situation of he's in a perfect system right now........like Matt Cassel was in New England. Alex Smith had done well before Harbaugh came in. A huge problem was the offensive coordinator changing every season. Smith could never get used to an offensive system, when they used one he was comfortable in the following season it would change. And he also had Mike "I've got the most predictable offensive playbook in the NFL" Singletary as the head coach. When the Niners went into a no huddle offense, and Smith had more freedom to call the plays, the Niners offense did damn good.

Once again a player has to bring the "You don't play so you shouldn't criticize" excuse that aggravates me to no end. Anyone with two eyes, NFL player or not, can see that there are some serious problems that need to be addressed on that team.
Not to mention those people that he's mocking help pay his salary.

Hey Bart..................one of the people who were criticizing your team's play are Joe Namath, who by the way.............has more respect from the New York fanbase than you have in YOUR ENTIRE BODY.
F*** you

That person was probably playing dodgeball with more passion than your football team together.

If they had a coach who actually cared about excellence and not making the front page, you wouldn't be seeing comments like this from Jets players because they would be reprimanded on sight.
But, when your coach is a loudmouthed jackass, then it's more than likely he will have a team of loudmouthed jackasses. I'm not usually this harsh in my posts but the Jets are getting on my last damn nerve. Achieve what you said you would achieve every year and shut the hell up or f*** off.
If they continue on this route however, then they can stay in the basement of the AFC East forever for all I care.

Bills coach Chan Gailey is now backing off previous stated desires to find a quarterback of the future and claims Ryan Fitzpatrick is "going to be the guy."

5 rookie QBs(Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Ryan Tannehill, Brandon Weeden, and Russell Wilson) have combined to win 26 starts this season, most in a season since the merger. Andrew Luck's 7 wins so far this season ties Sam Bradford(2010) for the most wins by a rookie QB drafted 1st overall since the merger. These numbers are likely to go up. - Luck still has games against the Lions, Titans, and Chiefs. - Brandon Weeden still has games against the Raiders and the Chiefs. - RG3 still has games against the Eagles, Cowboys, and Browns (hey, if they lose Weeden still wins and the total still goes up). - Tannenhill still has games against the Bills and the Jaguars. - Wilson still has games against the Bills, Cardinals, and the Rams.

I am fairly certain that any group of 11 fans in the word could have avoided giving up 21 points in under a minute. Not the Jets, though.

People hate Belicheck (and trust me, I can understand why), but the one thing you can credit him for is that more often than not, he and his players usually go out of their way to heap respect on whoever they play. They talk about a 2 -10 team like they were the 72 Dolphins. A lot of people in the national media (and a large number of media even around here) hate how "boring" he and his players' press conferences are, but given the alternative....Ill take they way the Patriots do things over any other team

Then again, as a Colts fan I am used to much of the same. The most disrespect we have ever seen is our players giving each other a hard time.

Then again, as a Colts fan I am used to much of the same. The most disrespect we have ever seen is our players giving each other a hard time. Well, it's not really that admirable. If Belichick just trashed the next team the Patriots faced, it would not seem like a big deal if they beat that team, and it would be down-right humiliating if that team beat the Patriots. By talking up their next opponent, he can say either that he beat a superior team, or that a superior team beat him, it's sort of a win-win. Bill learned that a long time ago, Rex Ryan on the other hand... well, let's just say he won't be in a position next year to repeat that mistake.
